I like it. It's not so boring compared to those other planes. :)

Isn't having a private jet flash enough without pimping it with a hideous paint job?

I like Villeneuves paint job though.

Funny that Ron Dennis and Flavio Briatore have a Canadair Jet, yet Villeneuve who holds a Canadian passport doesn't.

I don't care for the MS jet paintjob but you are right that the others are quite unimaginative in comparision. Perhaps something to do with keeping them generic for resale value.

And how did I know that RD's jet was going to be solid grey ? : (though I quite like the chrome detailing).

I think Briatore's is the sharpest-looking one of the lot. The sleek shape of the Challenger works well with the Renault-themed striping.

I guess the registration "G-REYS" isn't just a coincidence then. And how typical is it that the ever-frugal Mr. Sauber has thus far shunned the conspicuous consumption of the jet age?

Commendable, but as someone who flys a lot (strictly economy class : ) I can understand why anyone in the F1 business who can even marginally afford a private jet gets one. It's gotta save them from spending quite a substantial fraction of their lifetime standing around airports.

In the book Bernie's Game there is reference (which I'll post when I get home later) to there being some inside joke about Bernie's plane registrations--anyone know it?

Bernie's baby. :)

I think there is a lot that can be done with inside jokes on G-OFOA.

Interesting tidbit on Bernie and flying: he was one of the passengers on board the last Concord flight, along with Christie Brinkley, Jodie Kidd, Jeremy Clarkson, Joan Collins, Sir David Frost, and CEOs from British Airways, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and The Royal Bank of Scotland, among others.
