2006 will mark the 60th anniversary of the first competitive outing of a Cooper car at the Bugatti Owners’ Club hill climb at Prescott on 28th July 1946.

To celebrate this anniversary the B.O.C. meeting on the 23rd July 2006 will include special competitive classes for Cooper race cars, sports cars and Mini Coopers. The provisional programme also includes a Dinner at the Prescott Lodge on the evening of the 22nd, static displays of Cooper cars and a cavalcade of cars ascending the hill. Celebrities connected with Cooper cars either as drivers, mechanics or employees of the Cooper Car Company will also be on hand to make this event a memorable day marking an important historical motoring anniversary.

Cooper car owners wishing to take part competitively or as part of the static display or cavalcade and other Cooper enthusiasts able to attend or assist should contact Richard Neale

Cooper is also the featured marque at Monterey in 2006. Will you be involved with that? Do you what plans there are for that event?

Yes, I'm aware of the Monterey Cooper 2006 tie up and have offered my database info etc.
The CCC California representative Karol Andews ( Cooper.FJs@comcast.net ) is involved and I hope to make the trip.

Enjoyed my time racing a Cooper Monaco/Maserati in the 60s,won the Divisional Championship in Scca, my car eventully went to Bob Akin.

Photos copyright questions were widely discussed here but no one still mentioned frames captured from video films and TV documentaries.

I think I recall seeing these or similar frames on the X File thread ~ Can you confirm which Video or TV Doc they came from???
