I,ve been searching through all the topics over the last few days and i can not find anything about coca cola could be coming in to F1.

If they do come in who do you think they will sponsor, could it be Ferrari, could it be Arrows, who knows but i do think Fizzy should drive for the team that they sponsor out of a matter of principle. If they took over the sponsor of Ferrari, Cause they are red their lorrys are red and there uniforms are red, wouldn't it be great to do a Grand Prix over Christmas just to see the lorrys with Shuey on the back dressed up as Santa Claus with his white beard and his bottle of coke chuckkling away all covered in fairy lights!!!

:smoking:
:stoned:

For me the only team that makes sence is Jordan, a young and spirted team image. The Jordan 7up car was great looking. A Jordan Coke car would be great, sure they'd have to bump B&H, but that could be a good move.

ggg

p.s. sadly that would mean that I would be cheering for a red car ;)

Yup, Ferrari and Coke go together like a hug and a squeeze. Now arch rival Pepsi's colour is blue. I guess they'll have to make arrangements with Prost -- uhh, doesn't life seem a trifle-- unfair, at times. :(

Well now that Bernie has found a replacement sponsor for Marlboro, perhaps he will push for the tobacco ban earlier. This way McLaren wont have the resources to be as competitive. Perhaps that win finally win Ferrari a championship?

It was reported (I don't know how reliably) that they were indeed in talks with Ferrari.

But you know what that means in Formula 1?

Nothing.

Here's what I think...

Coke to Ferrari because A. the colors match, B. there has been talk like this between them before and C. Coke wants to do this seriously, and what team is more widely watched, cheered and jeered than Ferrari? But then again, Toyota may go red as well, and they will be getting alot of spotlight as well.

Pepsi would go good with Benetton. Im sure they will adapt more Blue when they turn Renualt and Pepsi is blue...BAR too, blue and white match well..

But as for Jordan, I cant see red and yellow going well together unless B&H are pulling out soon?

While we're speculating, why not Minardi. You know, as in "A Minardi and Coke please." Baccardi, Minardi, what's the difference?

If Ferrari did indeed get Coca Cola sponsorship, what would be the deposit on one of their cars?

I think Eddie Jordan would like nothing better than to get his lovely Irish Green 7-Up livery back. Come back, Uncola!!

I think it's more likely that Coke will not sponsor a team, but just buy signage at races, perhaps sponsor a race, etc. Your logo gets on camera constantly that way without the risk of backing a dog of a team.

In that case, I am going to start a petition, any company who relies of signage, rather than going the honest route of sponsoring a team, get's banned from BB topics. That'll make them sweat.

South American rounds' signage: "Get your coke here!" and then in Hungary they can sponsor the red light district:
"The Real Thing!"
