Jerry, thanks very much for restoring this thread.

The page I later created, which has some photographs from this page, is here:

https://www.oldracin...om/legrand/mk7/

I have received an email recently from David Zavetsky with lots of information about his car, but I haven't had a chance to digest it yet.  Covid means I am much, much busier than usual, as lots of gentlemen of advancing years who are stuck in their homes have decided to scan their old pictures and post them on social media.  I can't keep up!!

Allen I will be 78 in 8 days. I have brought this thread back to show David Zavetsky what I knew of LeGrands.

I was there when John Boxhorn first brought his LeGrand to Gingerman Raceway. I never thought it was my car.

That is because it now had a Hewland LG gearbox and front wings and a rear wing. I also never saw the car when it was painted black and had a high wing on it.

Based on where this car came from and who had it before John Boxhorn, I now believe it is 002 my old car, of course highly modified to improve safety.

Way better hubs and suspension pieces and brakes and stronger type roll bar. and wings.

LeGrand Mk 7 seen at Elkhart Lake Vintage races

This car is supposedly built up out of the remains of the Peter Botsford car that Sam Posey drove in 1968..

LeGrand Mk 7 in the Botsford color scheme.

This is the same as the red car above. It is owned by Mayer Racing and here it is in the Botsford colors.

Rex Ramsey in white helmet in front of us, not a very good picture of the LeGrand Mk 11

Always neat to see James Garner in track photos, here near the rear wing of Scooter Patrick's #30 car.
