Just wondering in anybody knows of any links where it is possible to download the original Grand Prix game that was used on the Amiga?!

Any link of a free f1 type game would be appreciated!

Got it from another site!

Saved the correct driver/team names and now i'm flying around the amazing Peralta banked curve at Mexico with Larini in the Andrea Modea Lamborghini! No sound for some reason, but still...its worth it

Oh and the second Lesmo was amazing back in the day, wasn't it?!

I can't say where to get them but there are heaps. Before GP2 came out I was upgrading my cars to current seasons, changing the colours, performance etc of all the teams/drivers. Also had a more functional cockpit display and different sounds.

Most stuff I was able to fit on to a couple of floppy discs and take home to use on my non-internet equipped 486.

Would kind of like to know where it all is myself now - and if it's actually possible to run under WinXP. Wonder what reading the old Processor Occupancy button would bring up on a 3.4ghz PC with 10 times as much RAM as I had HDD space back then.

Try here http://f1gp.alphaf1.com/ though I don't know if any of the links still work.

Hmm... Guess you were driving a Lambo-Lamborghini (from Modena Team) then, as Nicola Larini never drove any Andrea Moda, and F1GP is based on the 1991 season.

For those that want it, try:

http://www.abandonia.com

Still very good fun. I'm not really 'into' computer games, but this one is appealing to me for some reason. I've never tried GP2 or anything more advanced than the original Grand Prix, but I am curious about the development of the game. Is GP2 available to download anywhere?

I would however be willing to buy a game that had the cars, drivers and tracks based on the early to mid 1980's with authentic turbo sound and turbo engine characteristics!

To my knowledge GP2 is not available as a download yet. However, if/when you acquire it there are zillions upon zillions of addons...

I downloaded this game from the site mentioned above - www.abandonia.com (along with the Ironman Armstrong stadium truck game :))

How do you get them to work. I tried to install each one but it kept asking me to insert the disk into the A drive.........

I guess you have to copy each one of the files into diskettes, and then install after Diskette 1. This is how we, the elderly, installed computer games back in 1993 or so...

But I'm sure you can download the whole game zipped elsewhere.
