Elva Mk III - mysterious racing history

we are looking for help, to reconstruct the history of an Elva MkIII from 1957/1958? It has the Engine: Coventry/Climax FWA 400/6 7160, sold July 22th 1957 to Elva Cars.
We found SCCA TECHNICAL INSPECTION stickers before restauration. The 5th sticker: Connelsville, PA., 8/9/65. This is the only race we do have a prove for or a readable sticker, but no results or hints who was the driver. Unfortunately the SCCA has no records of that time. If we at least do know some drivers who raced Elva Mk III in the US, it might help.
Unfortuately also Frank Nicols had no records or was not able to help!
So it seems it has participated in SCCA Races in the USA and also has been sold to the USA.
If you know more about this car please help us. The car and the stickers can also been seen under the website: www.racecar-collection.com
Thank you for your help.

The 1965 Northeast Divsional Championship points score (which included the Connelsville race), lists six Elva drivers in the GM class. Gordon Heald (Mk7) divisional winner with 45 pts, Warren Shamlian (Mk7) 5th position with 13 pts and Marvin Cohen (Mk7) 7th with 10 pts plus three Elva drivers with no Mk numbering. These were Jack Lawrence 4th 18 pts, S.A.Gilliland 6th 11 pts and finally Jack Bebee, from the Washington region, in an Elva Special just 2pts for 15th position.
The Mk3 Elva would be a little off the pace in 1965 and possibly Bebee's car might be a Mk3 with some home improvements.
In 1964 NE GM Elvas were Gordon Heald (Mk7), Sam Gilliland (Mk6), E.A. (Edwin) Arnold (unspec) and Edward Diamond of the Finger Lakes region with a MkIII.
In 1963 NE GM Elvas were Gordon Heald (Mk7), David Fenton, Ed Stanley and Charles Kruger from the Finger Lakes region - all unspecified, but Kruger's possibly a Mk6 as he had won GM in 1962.
Hope this information might give a lead.

unfortunately we did not get further to clear the history of the litle Elva. Does anyone have pictures from Mr. Dave Roethels Elva? or where can I find race results or pictures from the SCCA Connelsville race in 1965. For pictures of the Elva please do see www.racecar-collection.com
With best regards
