Talking to someone yesterday the conversation turned to Paul Emery and his exploits with Imp derived cars.
Three Emery GTs seem to have been built, one scrapped, the ali prototype probably Ford engined later for the 66 'Rin 500kms, one currently in safekeeping, and a third was reputedly modified and raced in European GT races through the late sixties as an EMERON which seemed an interesting idea, and not unlikely since many cars had their lives extended by being morphed into another category, viz Les Aylott's legendary Ardua.
The Imps4ever site refers to a C&CC article in Oct 65 on the Emery operation.
Does the EMERON ring any bells?

Are you sure it was called the Emeron as all the other Emery family cars were Emerysons?

An Emeron-Ford was entered by Peter Clarke for both the 1968 and 1969 Nurburgring 1000Kms races - but DNS'd on both occasions.

Paul Osborn of Cars International had an Emeron GT for sale a couple of years back.
I think it had a Lotus twin-cam in it, I only saw photos but it was a Chevron B6 style of car.
