Hehe, working title is "High, Wide, and Handsome" and status is "post production". I think it might be a funny movie

Jean Girard

Cal Naughton Jr. looks like they've got some stereotypes right concerning physical appearance of NASCAR and F1 drivers...

Probably not; they would have gone down (a very small distance) to TV Professional Wrestling by now if they did...

That looks great... but then again I quite enjoyed that last great NASCAR movie, Herbie: Fully Loaded.

Joking... Seriously it does look very good - I only hope they've made enough of Sacha Cohen in it.

It looks like it will be pretty funny. Looking forward to it!

It looks like a very good moviegoing year for Nascar (and general racing) fans with this film and also Disney/Pixar's animated "Cars" featuring the voice of Paul Newman.

Funniest NASCAR movie I ever saw was Red Line 7000 with James Caan. We ran a 16mm print at a car club night way back when, and what with the cans of Emu Export and the remarkable plot and dialogue, the audience was convulsed.

Chances are the trailer had all the good stuff in it, so basically... you've seen it already. Wait for DVD.

I kept seeing this thread at the top of the forum, and I've been stumped! Why is a female figure skater starring in a comedy about NASCAR with Will Ferrel?!

The trailer is pretty funny. I'll probably see it. One thing that helps - the cars on track are much more realistic than the awful Driven w/ Sly Stallone. :drunk:

Soo true a lot of times. I thought Wedding Crashers would be like that, but was surprised it was better than the trailer made it out to be.

Twas the case with "the Weatherman". Hopefully this flick has more legs than that one.

I really hope that NASCAR fans have a sense of humor and do not picket and destroy Will Ferrell and Ali G flims. ;)

Brick Tamland was an awesome character though! :rotfl:

Will Ferrell was in a NASCAR commercial that aired during the Daytona 500 last Sunday, for something called NASCAR Day 2006. He was talking about how it was a national holiday  and then yelling and upset when someone off camera told him it wasn't.

Anyway, there's already NASCAR tie-ins to Will and the movie.

Have you seen Ferrell doing George W on his ranch? I almost died I laughed so hard. His movies have been spotty though. He's better in low dosages.

I once again state the fact that Will Ferrell AND Sacha Baron Cohen are in the same movie to those who question its potential quality. Which is kinda like my persistent belief that Christopher Walken and Samuel Jackson make every movie they appear in better.
