According to the Austrian news agency ORF, Christian Klien has been charged with assaulting another person at dance club in Austria. The victim was hospitalized but released after one night with minor injuries. The owner of the dance club "Enjoy" in Altach claims that two girls in Klien's group of ten started a brawl with another male who was injured in the process. He also alleged that Klien has caused problems in the past and as a result has been banished from the club with imediate effect.

After Kimi, it's Christian Klien's time to be charged with assault by poor journalists.

Not surprising. A 23 year old who likes to live life on the edge. I was in a barfight or 2 in my young days.

And we have heard Klein's side of the story about these *alleged* incidents from this same news agency?

Interesting. Except that it appears I don't actually care what celebs get up to in their spare time.

I think his aggression in the fight, will pay dividends on the track, if he fine tunes that aggression in a controled aggression mixed with taking candy from a baby mentality, we might see him up a few tenths in performance throughout the season against DC. Bolds well, good news.

aggressive drunk bar fighting = 113 miliseconds faster in qualifying

Who cares if he's a silly flaming ****** or a hard nosed macho man as long as he can drive an F1 car on the limit and do it faster than his teammate?

I couldn't care less if Klien is gay or not, I was not taking a dig at his sexuality, I was merely saying that I have always imagined him as the Nick Heidfeld type who wouldn't say boo to a goose whereas now it sounds like he is another Jos

If he is gay then thats his own private business but I was merely surprised that he is capable of giving someone a hiding

Well, like Brett said, you had me laughing a bit with the *boo to a goose* bit there. But I would think most F1 drivers because they are so fit, and in incredible shape could put a nice whooping on quite a few people, despite many a diminuitive stature.

Gachot was charged with assault for spraying CS gas into a London Cabby's face during a row.
He was jailed and a certain M. Schumacher was drafted into the Jordan for the 1991 Belgium GP to replace him.

Well he does look like a true austrian Prolet ™, it was time he started acting like one.

At least Wurz has class. Berger had humour. And Niki 3 World Championships. All Klien has is a ghey earring.

I have heard it was in fact G.Villeneuve, the clue being both the Ferrari, and Gilles was known to drive this way all of the time....ask Professor Sid Watkins about his experience of driving with Gilles in Rio! :smoking:

Most people accept the movie was made by the director, and the sound is dubbed in.

If you scroll way to the bottom of http://bligdogomes.b...m.br/index.html ,you'll find a link to the video and a small text about it. Basically, it says that the driver in the film was either Jacques Laffite or Jacky Ickx, but authorities never found out.

http://bligdogomes.b...agens/paris.jpg outlines the route taken in the filme.

This clip seems phoney to me.

If you look closely it appears that the driver is not going that fast. I also think the sound was dubbed over the video footage.

It does seem odd. And the speed is too constant.

It's because it is not that high-quality and is on Google video IMO. Perhaps someone has another clip they could upload to rapidshare or something?

I would find it odd if they would have faked something like this, especially given the director got arrested?

Well, I've seen the "Ghostrider" movies, and if this clip is real, it goes into the same genre too:
the driver should have crashed to a tree or a building and paralyzed for life.

I own two Ghostrider movies and really can't understand your sentiment? You feel this way because they are doing this on the public roads? I understand someone feeling outraged about these guys endangering innocent bystanders etc. but wishing them to die???

Your opinions might chance after you've lost your sister and her 17 yr old daughter because of someone that does not obey the rules on public roads.
btw, I talked about paralyzing so that they could never drive a car, not death.

[edit] I have no hard feelings for the guy that was responsible for my sister's accident, that was not on purpose, just a bad brainfade on a road with 100km/h speedlimit.
But if it would have been a guy driving like this... [/edit]

When driving like that - would they really mind? They do not care about other peoples life either, that is the bad thing.

I do not want them dead, but they should have their balls kicked in.

Would Alesi from Avignon know Paris well enough to ditch a car at such speeds
into some of the sidestreets ?

For me only Arnoux could have done something like this....non of the other French
F1 drivers would be so crazy ?

Forget Alesi - the film was made in 1978 when Jean was 14 years old.

Nope, I've seen a proper quality version of it and thought exactly the same. In fact, in addition to that, I thought to myself 'I'm glad I didn't spend money on this fraud'. I suggest that others do the same!

Not that I'm saying he should have been driving faster, rather, it just shouldn't have been made/released at all because there's nothing in it that warrants this. Which is presumably why the police didn't bother finding out who the driver was.

he may not be running at 140MPH (he was passing cars too slow yo be running that fast), but he was obviously running faster than he should, and did ignore a few red lights.

On google:

C'etait un Rendezvous was filmed in 1976 throughout the streets of paris and taken in one shot using a car mounted camera. It's been said that the sound was dubbed over after the fact but so it goes with anything this spectacular - there are believers and doubters (as seen from the comments section at Autoblog). None however can deny the number of red lights, wrong way turns, near misses and sheer exhiliration throughout this nine minute short film. Seven minutes into it and my jaw was dropped wide open. When the film first debuted in 1976 the French director Claude Lelouch was arrested and because of this the film has remained underground for a number of years.

The car is not driving that fast as it seems, but the speed looks illegal enough...

For Chrissake, it's a short movie. Whether it's fake or not, I don't care. What I hate, though, is *supposedly* politically correct BS as above. Does this happen only in America? So, to come back to the topic at hand, do you also think, MrSlow, that Klien endangered other peoples lifes by being involved in a drunken brawl? No answers needed. Grow up.

How many people are killed annually in car incidents, how many in bar fights?
