I searched and couldn't find the answer, so I'm asking...What the heck was Alonso doing with his hands by his head this race at the end there? He did it in the car, and again when he got out.

Since the last weird gesture was from a Jim Carrey movie, maybe somebody that sees more movies than me recognizes it? Maybe the John Candy character's ears from Spaceballs?

One of the Speed announcers theorized that since the last gesture was mistaken for a bullfighting pose, this time he was giving equal time to the bull?!?!?

Your guess/knowledgable answer?

The answer is in the post race Q&A.

Q. Finally, I have been asked to ask you about the rabbit gesture – and what else do you have in your repertoire for the rest of the season?

FA: I don't know. Every race, hopefully, if I win more races I will do something different. This was something like a kangaroo for Australia, for the fans.

If he wins the British Grand Prix he'll probably have to engage in that time-honoured tradition of many a drunken British man and moon at the crowd!

OK, so what do we do at San Marino? Assuming a win, of course.

Didn't see this one, but if it follows his usual theme, it is probably "Making an embarassing **** of himself".

Good driver, and very good at making the best of any situation, but he really lets himself down with his post-race posturing. I guess it's better to do that than Fisi-up things during races though.

Not enough fingers left?

A pity Alonso is being bashed for not being a mumbling, inarticulate, characterless automaton.

The key thing is that he says "...kangaroo, for the fans" - I think that's pretty cool! Alonso seems like a neat guy, doesn't really care if a bunch of uptights don't like what he does.

Mmmm, who would have thought that the ears are the most distinctive features of a kangaroo? :drunk:

Yeah, but now I'm offended, 'cuz I'm a big fan of the mumbling, inarticulate, characterless automaton.

I think he is fun and he only semes to offend the fans of a "**** that did a foolish jump & punch" on the box.

As long as he doesn't start impersonating the Megane advert that we have to endure in the UK... "I see you baby, shaking that ass, shaking that ass, shaking that ass..." ;)

Or, God forbid, that Flav decides to do a bit of Megan marketing on the podium.

And you know why? because nobody gives a ****. Why? because he's getting the job done.

The same applies to Raikkonen as well, btw.

Oh, and regarding Alonso's bull imitation, that was his way I guess to say up-yours to the PETA shills. Personally, I would've told them to **** off regarding my 1000 year old traditions.

Not to spoil a good rant, but Alonso wasn't doing any bullfighter impression before...It was a Grinch impression...

Alonso's behaviour after races is making him look more and more like a fancy boy (if you catch my drift) all the time. That Grinch thing was very effeminate. He looked like a model trotting down the runway.

Alonsos gestures rock.

I really like the fact that he's trying to do these things instead of being the dull boy Räikkönen is.

It's kinda silly but fun, harmless and different. Not quite on same level as Valentino Rossi but he's making millions being one of the best at what he loves to do. Who wouldn't enjoy it?

Good thing they don't run a GP in New Zealand, otherwise we might see Alonso get intimate with a sheep.

Or in Finnland. He would than have to perform a vodka drunked mumbling, inarticulate, characterless automaton.

Just joking, no disrespect for Kimi.

And I like Alonsos style he least looks alive.
