Is much known about Andries? There's a little written about him in Steve Small's Who's Who, and a bad quality photograph:

But there's not much else I know about him. Are there any clearer photos of his face and maybe information about what he did and achieved in his racing career?

Dries van der Lof, had a bit more than a "company" in Haaksbergen.
He was the CEO of TKF, Twentsche Kabel fabriek, a large company quoted on the Amsterdam Exchange.
It was a family run corporation, now led by his son Alexander van der Lof.

Dries was a car enthousiast and collector from the age of 16 or 17, already driving a type 35 Bugatti at 18 years of age.

He raced for many years, including one race in a HWM at the Dutch GP.

Dries was one of the first people in Holland starting a historic racing car collection, including some very good Ferrari's and a 250F.

A real Gentleman and a great friend of the Dutch ferrari owners.

Mr. Dries van der Lof was often present at the Zandvoort track during historic or Ferrari club meetings. He was instrumental for us young school boys future by showing his Ferrari 375 F1 (340, ex Chico Landi) as well as the 250F and other great racing machinery. Next to his racing career he was also a great force behind the organisation of racing in Holland. A true ambassador.
