BP strongly supported Western Australian racing for years, even to providing this mobile control tower for Caversham before a real one was built in 1957. This pic dates from 1956 and is one of the numerous publicity pics that BP used to hand out to the media in those amiable days.

Champion serviced RAC Rally etc at one time from a white Cortina Estate with small sticker ID only. I think Ferodo did likewise, with a bit more "coporate ID" of red with black and white check - may have been a Granada.

Not low interest... just not much about in the way of piccies, I'd suspect. When I find more I'll post them...
In the meantime... guys, I am on the road two weeks each month, the question about Carnal Arnold's BRM was asked when I was away. Sorry.
For a better pic (still by John Ellacott, of course) of the BRM, just click here.

Is that a fabricated sheet aluminium airbox on Trimmer's Sheridan Thynne M18? If so, that airbox would probably have been on the car when Jac Nellemann raced it at Jyllandsringen that year (he also carried no.10, IIRC) for Denmark's (so far) only ever F5000 race - I'd just never noticed that particular 'box before...

Seems to me about 1:35 - 1:38 scale, plastic model,
takes 2 "C" cells to light the lights, no "off" switch,
made in China.
I reckoned it fit here although a transporter;
did BP ever "have" a F1 team?

As to your q. about BP , I dont think they ever had their own ,but the most visible sponorship(their own?) was as far as I remember in the Truck racing with Mercedes and the ex MC rider(british) : All green BP a few years ago.!!!

#3 - the Wheatcroft vehicle is their transporter [reg CUT 730K] built new for them on a Bristol LH bus chassis in 3/72. It is still about.
#10 - the one on the left [reg GRD 888L] is on a Ford R226 bus chassis and was [apparently] built for Williams Racing in 1/73. Where were they based then - was it Slough?? Anyway this one is also still about and was advertised for sale last year in one of the old truck mags that we all read free in Smiths Library....
#10 - the one on the right looks familiar but I cant quite read the reg number - something like MTF 665K. Get the magnifying glass out Twinny and I might be able to id it.

I bumped into Sheridan at Prescott on Sunday, and amazed myself by remembering your query! Unfortunately he didn't recall the airbox in particular, so he suggested contacting TT as he thinks he may well do so.Originally posted by Bonde

1.Workshop of the 4 Club type (Volvo-Magirus-Renault or DAF) around 1978
2. Trailer used today
3. Modern MAN bus for customers around 2000
4. Renault from the 50s ,quite popular then , and this is one of the very first KONI cars
5. Early 70s , buses were often rebuild and used for workshops etc.

In the Moss scrapbook 1961 on page 97 is a pic with him. On the pic you also see an Austin in dark blue and yellow. Could that be a Duckhams truck ?
When did Duckham appear on the Motor sport scenes ?
