First off, I have a really bad wheel. The steering is off, and because I never could get the FFB to work, it is incredibly loose (especially considering I always like a tight wheel).
But lately, among all the hoopla over GP3, I have totally dominated the CPU players on GPL!
England, Watkins Glen, Spa, Zavanport, Monza, these are all tracks that I have won the pole at just recently, and not just by small margins. We are talking about .7-1.25 over the next guy!
I then dominate the race until I get board and quit.
I am totally shocked because I have never been that competitive against the computer but I have totally mastered it lately.
Now on to GP3....

LOL, am I actually going to master GPL just when everyone is going to GP3!

You will never master GPL. It will always master you.

If you have GPL (and have gotten good at it), WHY would you want to go to GP3? Modern F1 (and modern F1 sims) are just point and squirt, brake and turn, then point and squirt again. In GPL you can drift corners, powerslide...all the things that really made racing fun to watch and even more fun to do a few years back.
I have tried GP3 and few other modern F1 sims, but I'll stick with GPL for my most enjoyable sim experiences (unless something new comes along that actually IS better!

your doing beter than i
ive had GPL for what must be pushing 2 years and i still aint anywhere near mastering it*l*
i have got myself to the point where im actually able to qualify decently on about 1/2 the tracks, and generally can run somewhere in or around the points, and arse the occasional win, but thats about it.
i find GPL to be one of those games where you play the thing and reach a certain level and then plateau. then you leave the game alone for a few weeks and come back to it and almost instantly run better/quicker than before and then plateau again...strange.
the day i can ever do a lap around the 'burg at anywhere near a respectable time ill be a happy chappy

Wow,
I just went to Monza and hoped in the Brabham and got a 1.29.2, then got back in my trusty Lotus and did a 1.28.1!
If my steering wasn't off (I am having to turn slightly left to go straight) I think I could be even faster!
