EJ unimpressed with big brother Michael

Eddie Jordan has been talking about the time that he clashed with Michael Schumacher over the running of his team.

Back in 1998 Schumacher’s little brother Ralf was driving for Jordan. In that season’s Belgian Grand Prix both Jordan’s were running first and second after a race of attrition.

Schumacher Jr was following team-mate and race leader Damon Hill and wanted a chance of passing the Brit. EJ refused Ralf after a heated discussion on the pit-car radio, reasoning that as his team hadn’t won a race yet it was sensible to keep hold of a safe 1-2.

After much argument Ralf relented but it was a sulky Schuey Jr that stood next to Hill on the podium after the race. Big brother Michael confronted EJ after the race, demanding to know why Ralf hadn’t been allowed to fight Hill on an even footing.

Jordan said: “Michael was being an absolute nut-head. I reminded him that his race suit wasn’t the same colour as my cars and told him to mind his own business.”

HOW THE HELL DOES Schumacher DARES to wine like that? The man himself who FIGHTS worldchampionships THANKS TO HIS VERY OWN TEAM AND [b]CONTRACTUAL[b/] [!!!!!!!] 1st and 2nd DRIVERS!!! [ THAT's sick! really SICK! ]

HE WON ZILION RACES THANKS TO TEAM ORDERS!

Ferrari is a team-order team pur-sang! SICKENING!!!!!!!!

With the McLaren team slashing him down, Mika with points David with words, Villeneuve with words, Ron Dennis, Eddie Jordan, Eddie Irvine, and many many others ( like "ME") HAHAHAHAHAHa, Micheal ,.,... YOU CAN GIve this fight for this years title better up man!!!!!!

Schumacher will get a lesson teached this year! A very good lesson..........

Now thats hypocritical. He tries to bud in on other teams buisness and then his own team is running team orders by contract?!? He must think he has authority over everyone.

You've got to admit, his thinking that day was a bit distorted all round... he accused Coulthard of putting him out of the race, remember?

Is this really true? Sounds like a very strange thing for him to do if it is and not very appropriate at that.

Interesting, especially after having watched the F1 press closely for the last 20 years, that I have never seen this before - where did you get it ?

BTW, I agreed with Eddie's decision, as I do with Ferrari's and McLaren's (when they use it - McLaren, that is).

Regards,

rogue, eddie said all this in an interview with ITV before the race on sunday. I have to say he was in playful mood at the time and it was a bit of a 'stir'

Rogue, some people know Schumacher's treu nature and come out with it now. Rogue....;)

It's from ITV and isn't that precisely how Schumacher would react!!??

I LOVED Spa, I adore Mika Hakkinen more and more........ he's so........... the best, beating Schumacher to crap every since...... phew, please remind me here people!!!

Was it the "finger" from DC? Was it the helmet?

Was it Mika's vacation?

But Eddie Jordan was right about calling him a NUT-HEAD,

Apparently your attention wandered during the first few laps of Spa when MS passed both Button and Trulli in the space of a single chicane.

How come nobody is talking about that? Isn't it supposed to be nearly impossible to pass under those circumstances? Mika's "brilliant" pass was at least half luck. If Zonta hadn't acted like a deer caught in the headlights and had moved to his right (as most backmarkers would have),the pass would never have happened.

Frans,
If Michael is a "nut-head" I am at a loss for an adequate word to describe your mental illness. Take my advice: Double your medication.

Rogue, it is old news. Actually Hill wrote a rather good article about it, if anyone's interested, I can maybe dig up an URL for it...

Of course there are people going to say that Hill is full of s**t and nothing he says can be taken for good but we can disagree on that one...

Ok, that's the URL:

Don't know if the header is one of Damon's (doubt it) rather it is of the site maintainer's origin...

Frans,

stop all these pictures, you are killing me

and also, this is not the 1st time MS did this.
@ the Canada98 GP, he critcized Hill for trying to kill him while in the same way, he pushed HHF off the track deliberately. That's a classic one.

just because RS is his brother, MS thought he could control the Jordan team, that's unbelievable.

this is a classic piece of damon hill.. what he FAILS to mention is that HE called into the pits and asked the team to tell Ralf not to pass him. in his article he implies it was Eddie Jordan who instigated the instruction to ralf, whereas it was Damon who demanded it.

in actual fact I think Eddie did the right thing and michael had a cheek telling him off..

but damon was a right lying little sod at times. everyone thinks he was this 'gentleman' driver when he was as arogant and spoilt as any of them, he just achieved an undeserved public persona.

It was like old times after the Belgian grand prix. I won the race and Michael Schumacher started to complain. At least there are some things you can always rely on...

Well, Damon basically said to Eddie, that he is not going to let Ralf by, that's the same every racing driver would do. Remember Trulli at Spa?

Oh yes... About that canadian thing... It gave me an upmost pleasure seeing, when Mika tried to pass MS for the first time, at first from the inside, MS to move 'right' to the inside and then, when Mika went left to move 'left' to the outside (driving line). Didn't see it? Go watch the tape again...

I remember certain people suggesting that DC is better of being shot for what he did at Germany... Remember? Start... DC dives 'right' infront of Schumacher, then Schumacher goes left and DC goes 'left' to the outside (into the driving line). It only took 2 races for Michael to do exactly the same thing some of his more hotblooded fans have been earlier accusing his opponents of as pulling out dirty tricks.

Am I mad about Schumacher for weaving right and left? No, I say it's racing. But yes I am mad at him or his fans going bananas and pissing and moaning about it every time when they think some of his opponents touches the border of right/wrong.

Hill a gentelman driver? Don't know... He was a race car driver and what he suggested at Spa was waay less arrogant that actions taken by his opponents at the sport...[p][Edited by Force Ten on 08-29-2000]

I was making no excuse for the prima donna, but pointing out that he was in rare form after his biffing the McLaren and then blaming the innocent one. Anything he might have said or done in the wake of that might readily be discounted due to his state of mind.
Regarding the Frans and its medication, I believe the drip tube is to be replaced next week with a 20mm one to keep up the supply.

Frans,

You are not funny. Three years ago there was some novelty in the idiotic zealotry you brought to your paranoid phantasies. However, the novelty has worn off.

The biggest hypocrite around here seems to be you. After all, you post some rather selective stuff. When EJ says Schumacher is the best there is, then EJ is a lier who has bought into the Schumacher-hype. When he has an argument with Schumacher or says something that makes MS look a little less likeable than one would hope for, then EJ's point becomes the gospel. I have always wondered about people who define themselves by their hatred for someone or something.

It seems to me you must be a pretty miserable human being. Do you get any positive emotion out of F1? By the way, your hero, Damon Hill, is on record as conceding that MS is the best driver out there.

Sweet dreams Frans.

Cheers.

321b3, Damon is old and seems to receive a paycheck from Schumacher to let him say all that!

I find it really nice of EJ to call SjoemelSchumi a Nut-head! :)

And, btw, if you only KNEW how I cheered for Mika's pass on the slow slack Schumi........ HAHAHa, man, I enjoyed myself zillionanoidic!!!!!

Hard to crop it and starting to KNOW Schumacher is a loser, and nOT a champ........ becoming a fact........ slowly......... painfully............. I love it! :)

that's not what damon said. the radio recording is available at
http://ourworld.comp...n/f1gallery.htm

you can hear what damon said to the team, and what the team said to ralf.

damon's exact words:

"i'm going to say something to you here, and i think you better listen to this...if we race, if we do race, we could end up with nothing, but it's up to eddie, you've gotta tell eddie, we can come in... if we don't race each other, we've got an opportunity to get a first and second, maximum points."

that doesn't sound very much like "i'm not going to let ralf by."

Pystrol: source ; ITV f1 website...

Ehm, who was talking about Jos, because JOS RULES!

4th place in a Arrows in a race is like winning in a McLaren, just how would you call a WIN in a Arrows then?

I would like to see all you're faces when it happens, I truly do.

Storm is right,

Jos wouldn't need 5-6 years for a title in SUCH fast car!!! HAHAHA, only LOSERS do, like Sjoemelschumi....

He's still fishing for the title, with no bate..... HAHAHAHA

Nice smilies Storm! :)

damon's exact words snipped...

Racing means trying to stay ahead of your competitor, I'm sure you know it...
I have heard the transcript. Basically it still is, that if Ralf was allowed to race Hill definitely would have raced him and yes, in the high pressure situation in which Ralf hasn't performed at his best thus far could have ended them both in the gravel. Ralf mostly wanted to pass Hill at the hairpin after the start. Remember where it got Trulli and Button?
