The battle for the lead fizzled out but there was plenty of interest along the way. What did we think of the Monaco Grand Prix?

Terrible, the circuit is a joke and the only person that could have made today's "race" interesting was knocked out in a meeting room on Saturday night.

So Raikkonen vs Alonso vs Webber wasn't interesting, even with all the passing of bunched up slower cars going on? Not too mention, they were close enough that position could change due to normal pitstops or safety cars (always a hazard at Monaco). Atlas frontpage calls it an easy win for Alonso, but it seems to me he could have easily lost to KR at 2 moments; when they pitted together under SC (obviously) and without SC KR might have run a lap or so longer for his second stop.

And there was a bit of passing going on as well, even for second place!

I voted 'good' It was great until the SC. I never really enjoy a race where there is no fight for the lead.

I voted "good" as I was enjoying the racing up until the SC, it then seemed to fizzle out, but I am not sure for me whether this is because of the lack of racing or just that the Williams were both out!!

Rubbish. Such a stupid place for Webber to park to bring out the SC. Yes it was suspenseful until then but after...zzzzz.

No a stupid place to park would have be right across the road blocking all of it - perhaps he will try that in another race!!

Duh! None of those cars are red enough for Tigershark! But he's not a fanboy. No sirree.

I voted 'great' because there was a decent battle for first place, there were some great action moments when Fisi finally decided he wanted to race, and because it was good to see Michael Schumacher coming up from the back of the grid.

And at one point it was anyones guess who was going to get the last popints paying positions.

Oh yes, and because DC got a podium.

By crying about the inevitable result of Schumacher cheating really is a bit rich.

Well, I voted good, because well, after Barcelona it was nice to see some overtaking.

It's sadly ironic that Monaco has become one of the few circuits where genuine overtaking occurs simply because the cars are pushed so close together the dirty air effect isn't so pronounced.

Silverstone will be another Barca, so this will be the last gp with any real action for a while.

It was a good race but like said before, anticlimatic. It looked like we had one hell of a battle set to happen when Alonso, Kimi and Webber were all within 2 seconds in the middle of the race but then the retirements took out the excitement.

Well I voted great just for the record and I'm a Button follower too

As for Silverstone, don't forget you have to consider the wonderful British weather. If that comes into play, as it has many times before, it could still be a good race.

I'm going Silverstone and Canada, and Canada last year was a fest of dramatics, champions wall!!!



As for this Monaco, pretty decent, however lost potential-with Webber and Kimi going out the way they did, and MS at the back, could of been better. But better then Spain 2006 easily!

But still alot of decent performances for the show, which didn't get rewarded in some cases.

Strange - I voted 'Good' even though my favourite drivers DNF'ed.

But it was enjoyable to watch Coulthard make the podium (and the Superman cape! ), and Schumacher making his way through the field. Yeah, Alonso out front on his own (near the end) was boring, but there was plenty of interest elsewhere in the field.

Actually the likelihood of rain is massive for the British GP since I am attending, and do not own an umbrella

I am camping, so if it has to rain, don't rain until the race, then stop after the race.

Only saw the first half. Just don't have my heart in F1 anymore. I try, at leat I thought I'd try untill the new regulations took place, but what F1 is turning into has made it difficult.

I gave it a low rating, but it's more about how I feel about F1 than about the race it self.

The first half was a bit of snoozer, It was quite painful looking at the same top 5 runners holding position. But I enjoyed watching Kimi push fernando. Michael was great though he was held up by Jenson for such a long time. Rubens holding up 3-4 cars was hilarious yet painful to witness.

The second half though, was were it got interesting, though there still wasnt much passing (what can one expact though?)

I thought it was pretty good for a Monaco race. Up until the second half you never knew what would happen with the top 3 cars, and who would make the daring effort to get past Rubens.

I gave it a 6, maybe shouldve given it a 7

I voted 8, up until Kimi's retirement I was on the edge of my seat.

Didn't get a 7 because Michael still gave us plenty of entertainment.

Retirements towards the end threw in a little spice as well.

It had a bit of everything, had we seen how long Kimi and Webber could have gone in their second stints I would have easily given it a 10.

I sincerely hope Williams are in negotiations next year with a proper engine manufacturer, cosworth's efforts have been admirable but we've seen more then once this year they've had to tune their units a little too hard to keep up with the big boys...

Terrible.


The only drivers that could have challenged Alonso for the win were wiped out early on because of retirements(Kimi and Webber) or penalties(Michael).

I voted "A Bit Dull". If not for "action" provided by Webber's and Kimi's engines going boom it might have been downright tedious.
