Admission - for much of the 1980s/90s what went on in British and European Historic CanAm/Atlantic Computers Championship/Thundersports racing passed completely over my head. Is there any website today which covers the entries and results for these "I'll pretend I'm Denny Hulme today" races?????

I took part in a few rounds of Thundersports circa '87/89 in a March Hart 75 S Foulston/Brindley did much of the winning in some very big CanAm cars

Thats a bit harsh Doug I think. T'Sports for a couple of years was excellent, big grids, decent cars old and new, and a mix of 'amateur' and 'proper' drivers. Certainly the best series in Britain in 83-84-85 I reckon.

Thundersports were part of Martin's site as I supplied most of the original results, but after his "problems" with another site he no longer has access to this data.

The old, original, data (which needs amending in a lot of cases) is on http://www.wspr-raci...under_home.html

... and some of the Thundersports races are covered at

Racing Sportscars

(Find them under the Main list or under the "Other National" championships)

Hmmm, I just attended the Historics at Road America, and there, do not really want them to run hard anymore, so what insult do you have for them?
"They will not let me play Denny Hulme, drivers."

If you do no like the concept fine, but to insult the drivers, I guess this means you are a better driver and person than they?

Sorry if this seems harsh, but one thing that will get a response of one sort or another, in any thread, is people who trash drivers without having been, there to qualify their statements.
It is a cancer that infests many different auto racing threads.
