Is a large format book, with lots of b&w pictures, text in italian/english/french, memoires of drivers and journalists such as Piero Taruffi, Troy Ruttman, Bernard Cahier, Denis Jenkinson... and an appendix with the rankings. A must have...![]()
Carles.
Found it. Thank you very much.

True. See also Carrera Panamericana by Daryl Murphy, Motorbooks International, 1993, ISBN 0-87938-734-3, probably out-of-print by now. Then there's the old 1950s Floyd Clymer softbound book, which I can't find just this minute; it may have been reprinted a decade or so ago.

The book covers the 1950-1954 races in brief and the revival events from 1988 - 1999.
I believe it was a special, limited edition ordered by my former employer CityBird Airlines who sponsored an Oldsmobile in CityBird colors that finished 5th in the 1999 edition. Everyone at CityBird got a copy of the book. I could save some copies when the company went bankrupt on 2001 but unfortunately, I gave them all away (but mine).

There is a current paperback edition of the Murphy book. It's available at Amazon.com (see the link) for $15.95. It's small at 6" X 9", the paper is not elegant, and the pictures are black and white and the selection is not as good as in the original book, but it has the same information regarding entrants, results, story of the races, etc.
