my kid brother is also an avid F1 follower and is going to be in London and Paris over the next few days. He wants to pick up some merchandise in store.

any ideas where he could in London (preferably in the west end or central london) he can pick his die cast from Hamleys but he wants some team clothing etc.

not sure what team he supports but on the champs elysees there are at least two showrooms for f1 manufacturers, renault and toyota. the toyota one has a reasonable f1 display and the renault one has a good range of their f1 merchandise.

He's better off getting stuff off the net-f1-live/Grand Prix legends etc. I've been to Alex Reid, it's alright, but if he wants price reductions and stuff, perhaps not ideal thing.

Harrods was good last time I went up to the 5th floor. They have changed the layout tho, if I remember. And, hey, if you go there, you might get a chance to have a go in the McLaren simulator. (F1 car with playstation attached thing). Don't think its there anymore tho.

And if you can't find what you want, Bernie is only gonna be 5 minutes away in the pub....

Well, a very nice one. A secret one. Very polite, he's known to drink there, so people don't bother him. He brings F1 types in quite often to soften them up before he ****s them over back in the office. Its where he schmooses. So basically, I'm not gonna be the one to give away his drinking hole on a web forum. Uh-uh. (But I will PM you JP, as you seem very polite. But if I here you make a scene...)

jonpollock - - last year we watched the British GP from there (fantastic) and they had Patrick Tombay downstairs commentating (apparently they do this sort of thing for a month or two a year), but anyway, the shop does sell F1 stuff.

Also he Hugo Boss shop sells McLaren clothing (but bloody expensive!!)

Tell him to drive 5 hours to the Nurburgring and go to the shop there ;)
