Hi!

I've just downloaded this racing sim, and it's by far the more realistic I've seen. It reminds you somehow to airplane simulators. To start the engine you have to mouseclick on the top switch in the cockpit, and then in the middle one. You can get out of the car and walk around the circuit.
The tyres wear out, have graining... realistically and you can actually see flatspots, blistering... in the surface texture. If you've got a force feedback wheel you will feel the flatspots, curbs... in the most realistic way I've found in a race sim. If you read the credits, you will find out it was developed by F3 drivers and engineers. Oh and it has an exclusive sound system that calculates each piston fire and the exhausts shape!

To download it:

I'm still 2.9 seconds away from the record, it's 1:33.6 on the track and car of the free demo.

Looks incredible, but you need a monster of a computer to be able to run it properly.

Well mine is already 2 years old (amd 3000+, 6800gt) and I get 90 fps in the demo with 8x antialiasing. From what I've read in reviews it's very well optimised for older systems and in fact it is tested on a 9600pro.

Your videocard isn't the worst I think. The 6800GT was two years ago a top card and now he is still good enough for all new games.

I played this game a few mounths ago but in my opinion it is too realistic. You've to start the engine with a power switch and if you give too much gas at once the motor is refusing.

nKp runs quite well on a moderate system with details tuned down a little. The screenies in the first post were probably taken off pretty decent gaming PC, but a reasonable frame rate is possible on older PCs, but a fairly decent video card will be required.

The physics are good. There is room for improvement, but can be great fun offline. Forget it for online play though. Even ninja PCs suffer from stuttering frame rates. A patch is promised to improve online performance, but it's been a long time coming.....
