Apologies if this has been on before but I don't remember it,  I reckon about 60% of the circuit is recognisable compared to  todays version

Not sure if this has been posted already, a 2 part Jo Siffert film. Video quality not the best but still great to see. Much of the conversations he has are in french, narration is in german.

Not on youtube but I think this is the best topic for the link.

1935 Finnish Grand Prix. The car race starts at 2m45s into the video.  The audio comments seems to be from the 1936 race instead :drunk:  but I guess that should make no difference to most of you.

That von Trips film led me to find this.

It features the 1955 Swedish GP, the club meeting at Karlsroga a few days later attended by von Trips and DSJ and the trip made by von Trips and DSJ to the Arctic Circle.

Narration is by von Trips auf Deutsch and worth watching if you've never seen DSJ chasing a cow or pumping up a tyre. DSJ mentioned in Jenks A Passion for Motor Sport that he had taken films during the Arctic Trip so some of the footage may be his own work.

The Cadwell footage includes some famous names in the F3 event.

Geoff.  What a fantastic find!

To see that Formula Three race - look carefully for Mosley, Rees, Coaker and Herd - is really quite something.

And Rufforth.  It was much the same when it closed in 1977.  The last of the old true airfield circuits in the UK at least.

Hello folks,

I admit my limited puter skills aren't much  but on YouTube   if you use the words " 1976 celebrity demo  derby " you will unearth  a video that is of a demo derby.   If you dont know what a demo derby is  watching the video will  help .The particpants in that clip  include tv  celebrities and some racing personalities  , including both   recently departed drivers   John Martin and Bill Simpson in a scan of the drivers pre race . Hopefully someone  here can ID  some of the actual racers who competed.

Hopefully someone else can find the film clip and post it here  (if it isnt allready here ) and take note of of who competed  in this event.   Keep in mind this seems to have been filmed in 1976

    Thanks

      Paul

I wasn't sure at first, not fully understanding, because over there in Virginia you say derby, while in the UK we say derby. It can get so confusing....

 Thank You John,

That's it.   Kinda interesting that Rick Mears got an invite to compete  , while it shows Parnelli Jones would race anything anytime (lol) .

Hopefully not posted before

Apart from a little bit from Murray, it's a mixture of French, Swiss French, Italian ( including possibly Tyrolian ) & German.

But if you know a little of Clays history, shouldn't be too difficult to follow. Love his hillclimb run at the end in his mobility scooter- sums the bloke up

Seems I've posted this before, but this lengthy documentary of Jim Clark is worthy of many, many views:

I know this interview has been mentioned on TNF, but not sure if has been posted (apologies if so)

This is Jim Clark on German Television (along with Kurt Ahrens sitting in his Brabham BT23c) April 6th 1968, the eve of the fateful Hockenheim race...

A Wonderful, bittersweet bit of footage.

Jimmy's unassuming charm still on full display.

Ford promotional film featuring Jim Clark, Dan Gurney and the Lotus Cortinas at Sebring in 1964. First up are Jim and Dan in the 3-hour saloon race, then Jim and Ray Parsons on their way to 21st place in the 12 Hours:
