Fittipaldi is a name of italian ascendence, the father of Emmo and Wilson is of italian ascendence, but the mother, Mrs. Juze, was Ukranian.

Her maiden name was Wojciechowska. She had lived in Zhitomir until her father, who was a Russian officier, emigrated after the Bolshevik Revolution...

Well, Mrs. Juze Wojciechowska was Ukrainian? Maybe, but Mrs. Jozefina Wojciechowska from Zhitomir (Zytomierz), Emmo's and Wilsinho's mother, was the Pole from Polish family.

Maybe Mrs Jozefina Wojciechowska was Ukrainian, maybe she was Pole. It was not certain that she was Pole.
My grandfather returned to Poland in 1918 and now a one part of my family is Polish but second with this same name is Ukrainian.

Condolences to the survivors, and to the F1 brethren in particular.
And another Uke pops up!
Next up: Senna was too.
Anyway, being from Zhytomyr, she could have been either Polish or Ukrainian, since in that region (Volhynia) there were a fair amount of both until WWII.
In Brazil, AFAIK, the Poles arrived earlier and there were more of them, and so both Poles and Ukrainians were known as "Polacos."
A further hint could be provided by finding out where she lived in Brazil -- if in Parana, in areas around the towns/cities of Irati, Ponta Grossa, Uniao de Vitoria, Prudentopolis, and Curitiba, then there's a higher probability she was Ukrainian.

Do you have any further details (other than simple assertion ;))?
