Byrkus - I never thought I'd see a tapestry here - let alone a P4! How's it coming along?

Excellent! Great to see the car finished - though I think you should do a background - even if it's just a plain colour.
Welcome aboard ozpata!

I was recently commissioned by STP to mark their 60th Anniversary in 2014, celebrating six decades of pioneering, motorsport success. These banners will form the stand at Autosport International in January - and will each be 2 metres high! It'll be a real treat to see my illustrations on this sort of scale - much bigger than I've ever done before. The seventh illustration (of Bloodhound) is to go on a limited edition t-shirt which will be sold at the show. They were 'painted' digitally - using Photoshop. I really enjoyed using the limited palette too...

Happy new year! Good to see another embroidered car under way - I think you may have cornered the market there. Here's the last few of my advent sketches and a couple from this year...

I'm really impressed by all the great work that's been posted over the past few months and years. And it's given me an idea that I'd like to share.
My buddy Mattijs 'Racer.Demon' Diepraam and I are working on a handful of stories under the title ‘Senna versus Schumacher and other Formula One rivalries that never happened’. We’ve already finished Ascari vs. Fangio and Villeneuve vs. Prost, and we’re currently working on Senna vs. Schumacher and Moss vs. Clark. Check out http://senna-versus-schumacher.com to read more about it.
We’re planning to release our 4 stories on 1 May — the 20th anniversary of Senna’s death — at least as a free download, but probably as an ebook through Amazon, iBooks, et cetera. But since there’re no photographs to use with our stories, we’re looking for someone to create some accompanying images.
Would any of you be willing to create 4 images to go with our 4 stories? If so, could you make them in time for our release date, including some time for design of the book, et cetera? We'd love to promote your work in the book in some way.
Looking forward to any replies!

I thought it might be fairly straight forward to convert my original 1979 Gulf 917 illustration to the race winning Salzburg car. It would have probably been almost as quick to start again from scratch as apart from the wheels, windscreen wipers and a few other small bits, everything else has changed. I'm amazed how the specification of two cars in the same race is so different.

I've had a lot of interest for prints from the 917K pictures. I've found a superb Glicee Printer who prints to order so I've set up a webpage to try and sell a few. I can modify the format to suit anyone's needs.

Here is my latest art piece, a commission for a Colorado client.
2015 marks the 60th anniversary of Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson's win of the 1955 Mille Miglia, racing a Mercedes 300 SLR to a record time of 10 hours 7 minutes 48 seconds.
Going at the speed that they needed to achieve that record, they certainly took to the air more than once!
Amazing feat!!!
