Hi all,
am selling a handful of books from my collection that are mainly duplicates -prices are a guide and will be sunject to a couple of quid postage in UK, a little more overseas - i try to keep it keen. Make me an offer if the price is not right and i'll either say yes or no!
They are:
'At the Wheel' - Jim Clark; Pan paperback edition pub 1964 in used, but readable, condition - £4
'Staring grid to chequered flag' - Paul Frere; Batsford p.back from 1962, used but decent; - £4
'The Man with Two Shadows - Richard Desmond's superb biography of Alberto Ascari, Proteus first edition, H/B, excellent condition with minor creasing to edges of D/J - rare - £25
'Gentlemen, Start your engines' - Wilbur Shaw; 1956 Bodley Head English F/e H/b of the story of one of Indy's greats - no D/J, foxing to edges of pages, but otherwise in excellent nick - rare - £20

'A Racing Drivers World' - Caracciola -- 1963 Motoraces club H/B edition of Rudi's classic biography, this version updated following his death - no D/J but good condition - rare - £30
'Famous Motor Races' - Rodney Walkerley - 1965 edition, H/B Good condition, of a collection of remeniscence by such as SF Edge, Birkin, Chula, Frere, Segrave, hawthorn and many more - very rare now, and a very clean copy missing it's D/J - £25
'The Racing Car - Development and Design' - Clutton, Posthumus, Jenkinson - 1956 Batsford F/E of what is a seminal work, covering the development of the racing car from the very beginning until 1956. Despite missing its d/j this is an excellent hardback copy of a very rare book - £35
'Motor Racing with Mercedes Benz' - George Monkhouse - very nice 1948 edition of this legendary account of the great Silver Arrows years - Foulis, h/b, no d/j but in very clean condition - rare like this - £35
and:
'Motor Racing' - SCH Davis; This is a 1932 first edition of this famed work by SCH 'Sammy' Davis, published by Iliffe in hardback. Missing a D/J (although I have never seen a copy with one, so don't know if it exists) the cover has the signs of wear you would expect from a seventy year old book, but the interior pages are largely excellent, with some discolouration to a few of the photographs. this is a very rare and sought after book, and the best read of any I have - £70
