It was of him spinning onto the grass at Becketts. A pic of the incident is on the front cover of The Forgotten Races, with another inside...Originally posted by RTH
As I remember this race was televised and there was a photo in Autosport /Motoring News with Ronnie very crossed up in a flurry of snow flakes.

Has Chris Ellard finished 'Long Forgotten Races' (non-championship F1 races between '54-'65) yet? -- wasn't it due in '05?

I've only ever seen three pictures of Ronnie in that Becketts snowstorm. So, there aren't any colour ones then?'

Michael Oliver's lovely "LOTUS 72 Formula One Icon" has a colour picture on the back of the dustcover.
It shows Ronnie, lighting up the rear tyres as he gets back on track.....
Here i go, dredging up another ancient thread.... ....i treasure the memory of seeing Ronnie in the snow at the '73 International Trophy and reading the above made me determined to track down a copy of this book......
...which I did this week at very reasonable cost via e-bay ( and it turned out to be the slip-cased, signed and numbered edition, too ). What a treat ! It's sure to give me many hours of pleasure, and I've already spent a lot of time just gazing at that wonderful image on the back cover. Great stuff !

Is this the one?

Almost.....the full colour pic was taken moments later as Peterson recovered from the spin. It's good to have because people always think I'm kidding when I tell them that I've watched F1 in the snow !

Yes - that's the one !
