Your fantasy circuit

What circuit, past or present, anywhere in the world, would you most like to see modern Formula One cars on in action. This is a true fantasy, so you're free to disregard things like safety and facilities. It's more or less about the pleasure of watching the cars go around a certain set of corners, operate in a certain urban setting, or mountain setting, etc. You're also free to pick an earlier version of a modern circuit, such as the original Monaco with the straight run from Tabac to the Gazometre and the hair raising chicane, that kind of thing.
My only caveat is that you can't name the Nurburgring Nordschleife - I think almost everybody would choose that so I'm going to remove it as an option and make you consider other circuits.

Its strange that so many people say Brands Hatch, I've said it myself too for years ever since I read it as Ayrton Senna's favourite circuit, although I am starting to think that modern F1 cars have grown out of it.Originally posted by HBoss
Brands Hatch with the layout unchanged and only safety issues adressed.
In the 80's it was definitely the one but for some reason it seems too small now for todays cars, they wouldn't be struggling out the back of the track and would just drop a couple of gears into paddock hill bend with it becoming that unstable.
I hated Silverstone back in the 80's but now its probably much more the one that suits the on-the-edge format people like in their favourite circuit.
Anyone played Live for Speed ? Kyoto Ring GP Long now there's a track ! unfortunetly its fictitious.

the best back roads on the east end of long island!
maybe more suitable for rally cars, but who cares!

Being silly, a road-widening programme at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh could produce a fantastic race circuit. (as suggested on April 1 1986 by the Scotsman Newspaper)

Nordschleife
Didn't read all of my spiel, eh, Isamu?

My choices:
AVUS (just to see how fast a car could go down the straights and into the Nordkurve - plus the overtaking would be great!)
Laguna Seca (local circuit, everybody likes it anyway)
Long Beach 77-80

Monaco 50-71

Clermont Ferrand

Montoya1 - you have absolutely the right idea.

This is the circuit I dream of. Has anyone seen the 1987 circuit list? Absolute heaven...

Does this track exist in some form (for rFactor, for example)?
