Oh good, another person quoting that "hillarious" butchering of a perfectly good song by an unfunny fat bastard who calls himself a comedian. That must be about the 15th time I've seen that.

It's the ISP of Italian Telecom btw.

easy now. it's the first reaction a lot of people are going to have - especially as not all of us are up to speed with telecom italia's products. i'm so sorry mine wasn't the first post you read with that line. i'll try to be more "hillarious" in future.

Oh I've heard of Santander........they took over the bank I worked for and made me redundant two weeks before Christmas 2005.

They're a Spanish bank - Banco Santander Central Hispano (click here).

If you don't recognise the logo of Santander, you might recognise the brand of their English acquisition:

I've seen Alice on the Ducati racebikes over the years.

Alice is a broadband service by Telecom Italia, whose name has been on Ferrari's front wings before.

I am surprised people don't recognise Lenovo brand. I thought they had a big presence in Europe.

Toyota's new sponsor "Kingfisher Airlines" is a new company. Although Kingfisher beverage company used to be a sponsor of Benetton(?) a long way back.

so:
Labatt's, Courtaulds, Ici Tactel, Leyton House, Loto, riello
I never heard even of Parmalat til the mid 90's:) I thought it's a cigarette.

Off-topic, but is it a coincidence that Ferrari and Ducati share a large number of sponsors? Marlboro, Shell, Alice, Bridgestone, and Puma? Never mind the Brembo, Magneti Marelli and SKF-like suppliers?

sorry to hear about that - but yes, i knew i had seen the logo under a different name - thanks :)

actually maybe it was that incident with the police in amsterdam. hmmm...

indian: i thought it was for kingfisher beer too - you're right about the benetton sponsorship.

sergino: don't get me started! i have heaps to add to your list, anyone remember usf&g? sasol? dekra? lost boys? it's funny when you find out what one of those major sponsors whose logo you instantly recognise actually does.

Kingfisher is an Indian company run by business magnate Vijay Mallya . He is an avid motorsport enthusiast and was pivotal in bringing F1 and other motorsport coverage to India.

The airlines is really world class as his is business empire . This is the first step towards brining f1 to India ... Mallya is going to try his hardest to pioneer F1 in India and bernie has his hand firmly entrenched in this pie too...

Lenovo is the chink company that bought IBMs PC manufacturing business some time back. no wonder the name hasn't caught up all over.

Yeah I think it's just simply that they appeal to the same kinds of companies, of which a small subset want to go racing and like the red(ish) background.

You might wanna check here for ethnic slurs before posting.

here is the entry for your easy reference:

Chink (U.S.) used to refer to people of perceived Chinese descent. Describes their eye slits or chinks. Considered extremely derogatory
