This is Edie Arrowsmith the owner of ArrowLane Restoration and Racing and Fabrication Shop out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Edie is in T-54's Indy Cooper. This was at the California Speedway for an Indy Car Festival. David Kane and his wife Shairon Beale visited the shop this week and took some great pictures of the various cars. I am posting them along with other pictures taken by Ike Smith to show the forum members the historical vehicles they are working on and the caliber of work.

Now you must convince Edie to let me drive the Hulme BT8... just once!
By the way, the car ran beautifully and the John Collins-rebuilt Cooper C5S box now shifts pretty smoothly...

This is the BT8 that formerly was called the Team Rose Bud Car. It has a BRM-V8 engine and 6 speed gearbox. T-54 told me he covets this machine. By the way Ike Smith and myself helped fellow forum member T54 with his Cooper Indy car today. I must say he drove it beautifully and looked great in it.

What other Indy cars were there?
Between sprint cars and Indy cars, about 35 of them from pre-war Ford powered Great Depression jobs to Penske PC12's... with a half dozen Watsons (many of them very nice replicas) and Tom Malloy's original and beautiful cars. Worth the trip really...

This is the ex Sid Taylor BT8 currently owned by Edie Arrowsmith. Edie told me this car is very forgiving and she enjoyed driving it. The engine was freshend by Chris Reeder and the last time Edie ran the car at Coronado it performed flawlessly. T54 gave them some pointers on improving the reliablity of the Climax engine. The way T54's Climax was running, I would sure listen to what he had to say.

This is a Dune buggy or off road race pre- runner. It is a Tatum chassis and is powered by a Chris Hines built 680 horse power supercharged LS6 Corvette motor. Chris was in the Air Force and the graphics on the side are off a F-111 Jet he was assigned too.
This is the parts area of ArrowLane Restorations, and David Kane says everything inside the shop is first rate and immaculate.

Chris Hines checking with Steven J. Hilton that everything is ok with the ex Skip Scott driven Lola T-70. This is the car Ike Smith is seen working on in the ArrowLane shop in the post above. It was running very nicely at Road America and looked better than new. Ike Smith from the original crew was helping on the car this weekend. And Steven did a very nice job of running the car. He was having a great dice with the McKee in the race.

"My Ginetta is a 1965 G4 – Chassis Number 265. It has a 1600cc Kent cross-flow engine. It was originally club raced in England, and then imported to the USA in 1990 by Tony Ingram, who is based in Santa Barbara, California and is the West Coast Ginetta guru. I will contact Tony and see if he can give me any history of the time in England."
