I'll be in the Orlando, Fl area (disney world) for the first race this season. Where shoudl I go to watch the race?

Anyone know of an F1 club that meets in that area, or a good sports bar that will carry the race?
Thanks,
James

You are pretty much screwed. Nobody gives a rat's arse about F1.

You might have a chance at a sports bar since the race is at 11 pm on Saturday. Call around and ask if any of them carry Speed channel.

You think a bunch of "drunks" are going to want to watch a F1 race from Australia?

I am sure there is college basketball, NBA, and boxing that they would tune in to rather than F1.

Well I called the ESPN Club at disneyworld. I talked to "Coach Patrick" there and he said that he's 95% sure that they'll show the race that night. He said they show races from Speed Vision all the time.

He recomended calling on the morning of the race. He said that they get a print-out every morning at openning of what will be shown that day in the club.

ESPN Club
2101 Epcot Resort Blvd
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-8442
(407) 939-1177

Looking in my Birnbalm's Walt Disney World Guide for 2007 it says the ESPN club is located on Disney's Bordwalk. I'm not sure where the boardwalk is, but WDW has busses that go everywhere, and Birnbalm's says that parking is free. So should be good there.

Patrick also said that the club is open until 2am on Saturday nights, so it should be possible to watch the whole race, assuming that they show it in the first place.

I am not so sure if you and Coach Patrick are aware that Speed Channel shows NASCAR races almost all the time. Maybe that is what he meant. :)

Hey at least Juan Pablo "MonSLOWya" finally won a race. Of course is was a road course, and he had to run his team-mate off the road to do it. And of course he blamed everyone but himself. Just like when he drove F1, except that he won.

My advice? Head down to Sebring for the 12Hrs on Saturday and hope that you can find a buddy who taped the F1 race whenever you get back home. :)

OK, Panic over...... We're staying at a friends place in Davenport, FL. Call him and found out that he has speed. There is also a sports bar in the resort that will also be showing the race.
The Wife and kids have given me a free pass for Saturday night

Way to stay on topic newbie. Couldn't find one of the 10 or so threads on Montoya?
