Räikkönen has not been able to match his team-mate today, and has to settle for third.
-Hamilton has totally outclassed Alonso this weekend, performing fabulously all weekend to score his third consecutive podium-finish. A fantastic second.
Alonso, being very bleak this weekend, brought his car home in a dissapointing fifth.
-Hamilton warned not to rule out BMW, and indeed, Heidfeld again drove superbly to finish fourth. Well done! Kubica scores points as well -sixth - his first so far, but he has been some way off his team-mate's pace, but today the explanation was a problem with the fuel-flap.
-Toyota and Trulli continue their consistency; another seventh for him, but the other side of the garage; Ralf Schumacher, spent the day battling Barrichello to finish 12th.
-Fisichella grabs the last point, while Kovalainen reaches the flag eight seconds adrift in ninth.
-Williams probably performed a bit below par, no points but they entertained today and battled hard.
Further down it was a cracking race from Coulthard; from 21st he raced his way up to a very convincing seventh- catching Kubica even. Webber too had a strong day early on atleast, destined for a point, but then the fuel flap stuck open again. Eventually both Red Bull's retired - a huge pity as they deserved to open up their points account.
Another weekend to forget for Honda, Barrichello 13th and Button out in a crash on the opening lap with Speed. Liuzzi too tangled, and eventually threw in the towel with mechanical problems.
The performance of the Super Aguri's has been good, but not their reliability. Both drivers out with shot engines. Some critisism has to come Davidson's way, who stayed on the racing line when his engine spit out oil.
Both Spyker's finish, but clearly slowest, and that by a margin that has to be a bit of a surprise, as they looked quicker earlier in the weekend.
Over to you - share your views and verdicts on what was a very entertaininng race!
(a one month break now till the Spanish GP, but there's atleast a test in between - Circuit de Catalunya 30th of April to 2nd of May.

Sad day for Williams and sad day for my gaming bets.

Seems like there is nothing between Ferrari and McLaren at the moment and BMW is propably right there with them.

Raikkonen heaviest but getting stuck behind a McLaren on the first stint again ruined it for him. Most likely would have came out first after the first stops had he managed to keep Alonso behind :
Another good drive from Hamilton, what was with Alonso?
The result sure keeps the championship race interesting!

Heidfeld again very fast, hopefully he grabs the podium and win soon.

Shame for DC.
Renault had craptastic race, Fisi lost around 20 secs in the second stint. :
Kubica... disappointment.

Massa and Hammy above their teammates. Kimi mediocre and Alonso disappoiting.
Great races from Nick and DC, lost of overtaking

Awesome to see the Great Alonso getting owned by a rookie. Where are those "alonso will lap Hamilton" stories now

Best man of the race - Nick Heidfeld. Killed the whining Kubica.
Kimi - stupid on the restart. otherwise very good pace in the race. Could have won, but didnt

Kimi looked slow both on the start and re-start. Decent pace through the race but never really challenged Hamilton.
Great job by Hamilton, showing no signs of being a "rookie".
Be interesting to hear what may be wrong with Alonso's car. Pretty unremarkable race other than the start.
And a big

Bravo Hamilton, it's taken him three races to beat the guy who drove MS into retirement. [/ITV hype] On a similar basis Kova was about eight seconds behind Fisi, he seems to be getting to grip with this Formula 1 lark.
Such a shame for DC, he was on a monster today.
Can someone again remind me why Ralf Schumacher is driving anything other than a milk float? Perhaps he was affected by a remark about the cut of his racesuit or something. Trulli at least showed some balls.
Can we start a sweep on whom Sutil will take out at the next race? Once is unlucky, twice is careless, three times looks like wankery.
And a three-way tie in the points "race".
Great remark from Brundle when the Honda engine in Sato's car let go..."there are five thousand pieces in a Formula 1 engine, I think one of them made a bid for freedom..."
Remind me again why everyone criticizes Bahrain? That was an excellent race, the sand adding a slippery element.

LH

KR

NH

FA

A very good comeback for FM, second consecutive bad race for KR, third consecutive brilliant one for LH, very pale performance for FA, NH was excellent again!
A cool race - the day of the so-called second drivers!

How can they be so stupid? They will need Brawn.

Heidfeld too - another fantastic day. BMW might well move on to becoming genuine podium-contenders.
I wonder what reasons Theissen has for not taking up that option immediately.
Alonso? :
Räikkönen bleak as well, but the WDC-fight will still be between him and Alonso.
A bit surprised to see many set their fastest laps with the hard tires.

Great work by Massa, Lewis, Heidfeld and Davidson.
Good from Kimi except when safety car in.
Alonso - problems with car today?
3 drivers on equal points in champ.....that can't be bad.

Because they wanted to jump Alonso, which they did.

3 drivers having 22 points in the WDC, with Massa closing in.
Massa

Hamilton

Räikkönen

Heidfeld

Alonso

Other

Conclusion? All top 4 drivers move to Europe with good points. Big updates for all cars in Imola, and very telling race in Spain coming up. Whoever does well in next two races, will be in strong position.

No excuse - Kimi blew the start and paid for it. Totally his fault. Why are you resorting to cheap shots like this?

Hey again Hrvoje, hows life?
Kimi had traffic in qualifying and more fuel than FM

Start was bad indeed, probably due to the big amount of fuel. Restart was embarrasingly bad, obviously.
Ferrari is very aero-sensitive and not good for overtaking other cars.
Pacewise he was equal to Massa throughout the race

Massa was overall the better man.

Hamilton continues his impressive form, beating his teammate fair and square.
Kimi was weak, got overtaken in the start and never got up to real pace.
Massa and Hamilton

Kimi and Alonso :

Nicks pass on Fernando was great and Heidfelds performance

Man, kimi looked so pissed on the podium. He didn´t want to spray or even look/congratulate Massa
