Not so, I am not manipulating anything.

In Post 192 Piercemountain referred to Doyusha-Norshin "Authentic scale 1:87" and Revell "Scale H-O" models being on sale on e-bay. In Post 193 Hamish Robson gave another reference to another forum where a member said he knew them as Doyusha kits. Then in Post 194 you wrote: "Though very interesting, I bet they are bigger than 1/87 which is HO."

So, all I am asking is
(1) "Who are you accusing of marketing out of scale kits: Doyusha-Norshin or Revell?
(2) "As you tell us you have none of the models, on what factual basis are you making this allegation?"

I think you are manipulating . In your post 199 you line up a few sentences , but totally dismiss my post 194 which clearly is an opinion and post 196 where post 194 is explained.

To your questions , 1 : look at post 194 , my opinion (you can call it what you want)

2 : look to post 196

You have not seen any of these models, but for no reason other than your bad experience with the products of some other manufacturers, you are telling us that both these manufacturers have been selling models that are not to the scale that their manufacturers say they are.

Yes Chris, these are fabulous kits or ready made ! But the price is thereafter. One of his latest ones the Aston Martin Zagato I'd love to have.

Not to stir the pot but those 1/87 scale F1 kits do "at a glance" appear to be larger than HO scale. Just a gut observation based on a lifetime of model building.

I have also seen them . but only in pictures on the e-bay , and as said I have 50 years of 1/87 experience alone and a good eye. And watching the e-bay pictures I can see the chromed details being too big . You can barely find anything on 1/87 Forums on that make , and not on their F1 models.

Is THIS allowed on here? I believe HO is 1:87

The US boys know and do use 1/87 (Railways and car models) , but they addopted to use HO , which to them has become a "name" by itself , mainly because of slotracing which barely can be as small as 1/87.So HO to "racers" overthere at least is in fact bigger than 1/87.

Bjorn, I would be most interested to see some examples from your collection. It's an intriguing scale and not one that I am familiar with (apart from 00 scale railways)

If you are referring to the HighTech models , I can tell you that my Maserati T61's are don from about 100 part and the Whole birdcage is there . In fact I did not build them , Kitkent did. Picture to follow.

The Pictures here are my own made models , made in the years 1964-1970 and based on 3 different models from Wiking then , a Vanwall ,a Cooper and a Lotus Ford . I used only a file , some small plastic parts and paperclips as well as paint to build them . The Pictures represent about 5% of what I made then. They are in fact 1/90 , but thats the way it was then. Not too many has been available since (in 1/87), but some excellent ones was both cheap and expensive , both as kits and finished , but not enough to do a full field for a certain year. Thats what I did for fun , and for playing on my homemade board game then.

Morem produced some nice and rather expensive kits of amongst others Ferrari 500 F2 , Auto Union prewar , Vanwall etc.

Yes - I ve got a few from them : MB T80, 300 SLR with airbrake, Uhlenhaut Coupe, Porsche 550 M. May with that big wing, A-U D-Type with twin rear wheels... They always did make some oddballs not available elsewhere.
Best buy has been a W196 streamliner without box for € 10 at at toy fair !
