In 1986 Rumanian drivers Corneliu Bibiri and Mircea Ponto drove in the Formula Easter with cars simply designated as 'Dacia', obviously only referring to the engine rather than the still unknown chassis.Does anyone have any info on the F. Easter single-seaters designed in Romania probably in 1985-86? Romanian drivers raced them in the 1986 Cup of Peace and Friendship - without any success, however. They looked like Soviet Estonia 21M's and, going by the web pages by Ray Purucker, could be equipped with Dacia engines. That's all what I know...

HistoryFan, you raised this thread in the nick of time: by a coincidence, today I posted an illustrated list of the participants of the 1986 CPF round in Riga (http://forums.autosp...a...t&p=4369437), and you can find four Romanian single-seaters there (as well as the names of Romanian drivers, which you have asked about in another thread).
Yes I searched with the BB Button and I find this thread very interesting!
So thanks for the reply!

- Cornel Bibiri ( Bucharest)used only Lada 1300 engine( CPF # 112 / 1984-1985-1986)
...and Lada 1600 engine(1989) in his career in Formula Easter.

112 – Corneliu Biribi, Romania, car : personal chassis built / engine Lada 1300

If Kulpinksy's car was based on the FIAT 600, it definitely couldn't be a F. Easter car with its 633 or 767 cc engine. Wasn't Laurenţiu Moldovan in fact the first who built a F. Easter car in Romania?

Wilhelm Kulpinsky and Ing Nabosnyi Ludovic seeing that the car was successful in the 1979, they decided to build another car but this time to be by FIA rules ...
January 1980 ... ing Ludovic Nabosnyi went to Federation Bucharest to get technical data suitable for Group B8 (F EASTER) 1300cmc
So they ( Nabosnyi and Kulpinsky) started working on the second car in January 1980 but this time the technique used car and engine ... Dacia 1300 cmc...
They had encountered a problem, this car had no wheels required... They appealed to support of Laurentiu Moldovan, and received from him the necessary wheels cars..
Laurentiu Moldovan visited the two in Oradea and found that their project done in about 60% ready, and has expressed interest in also building him a car Formula...
The first test participation and the second car built in Oradea the two Nabosnyi and Kulpinsky... took place in July 1980 to Stana de Vale (Oradea) to a local competition speed mountain ...

Laurentiu Moldovan he built in Cluj at the same time as those (Nabosnyi & Kulpinsky)from Oradea ... So we are in the fog ... Oradea is apparently the first Easter, but the first performance was done by Laurentiu Moldovan...

Nabosnyi and Kulpinsky in October 1980 had their car at a National competition in Cluj (Baisoara) and there they met that he had submitted Laurentiu Moldovan car ...
