Lorenzo was one of the most colorful Ferrari drivers of all time. The stats and his results may not support this but he was loved by everybody associated with Ferrari. Right from Enzo himself and down to the tifosi. He won one GP, the 1964 Austrian GP, and finished 4th in the WDC that year. His F1 career spanned seven years. Five with Ferrari and two with the Scuderia Centro Sud.
Felipe Massa received the Bandini trophy this year. A reward that is handed out to the most promising young driver in F1. The trophy is handed out by Bandini's hometown of Brisighella.
Rest in peace, Lorenzo!

Edited.
By the way...there's nothing about this at autosport.com. Pathetic!

I recall seeing horrendous footage at the time that subsequently disappeared, of the immediate aftermath.
If viewed today it might alter some people's perceptions about the good old days.

The mods didn't move the Senna topic that should have been in Nostalgia so people are deliberately trying to make the point with a thread about every dead driver.
