Help!
We are desperately trying to complete a 1967 Camaro Trans/Am historic car for the Wine Country Classic on June 1st. The car has been painted but we are missing a crucial graphic to finish the decor, an Amalie Oil sticker, oval red and white with the little checkered flag(s).
I have been looking all over the Net without luck so far, so knowing how good you guys are, I beg your help so as to find a color picture of said decal on an old car pic, as well as that of a Prestone decal also with the checkered flag(s). Even a bad picture would help us reconstitute the graphics.
The people running the Amalie and Prestone current companies are no help in this matter, they don't remember what the company looked like 10 years ago, let alone in 1967.
I am on my knees begging. Thanks in advance for any help to secure these documents.
Regards

If you search on Ebay, there is one available that shows flags.
Not sure if it would be the correct vintage though.

Yes, it is helpful because it shows details of the checkered flag. Thanks a lot!
I am still searching but so far have not been too lucky.
I am going to try T/A sites and... searching inside my racing books.

Hi T54,
Try emailing Gasoline Alley Antiques, they carry an extensive stock of original racing stickers and decals. If they don't have an Amelie of your vintage in stock, they may lnow who does, or at least have access to a good cpolour image of one. Here's a link to their site:

Hi, thanks! I am very familiar with them, but I already looked and they do not have it.
We are at this time trying to make one on the computer and David Shaw's oil can with the checkered flag really helped. We only have a few days to complete the car in time, it is going to be real close.

Well the best of luck - I'm sure with your evident passion for this project that you will make it on time! You must post us a pic of the finished car (complete with Amalie decals!)

Thanks Stirling!
We are getting the thing back from the paint shop today and will begin bolting it together immediately. We have 5 days (and nights!) left to put it on the truck and drive to Sears Point...

Hi T54,
I'm sorry that I did not see this post earlier. I have created art from an original sitcker. I make my own decals for model cars and I get really nuts trying to get them as exact as possible. Let me know if you still need to get this sticker made.
Steve
