Does anyone have any experience with the quality and/or functionality of the "Enots" racing style pop-up fuel filler caps being retailed by this company in Florida? I am assuming that these are reproductions but maybe the original company is still in business and these guys are the importers?

Also - is anyone familiar with which racing car manufacturers originally featured these fillers on their cars? Were these the same type that were found on the Cobras, Genies, etc?

Can't remember if they're made by or just distributed by Think Automotive but you can find out about them here:

The text is the same as used by the US distributor.
Pretty sure Cobras had Enots caps - AC would have used English parts, not sure about the American cars like the Genie.

I believe that caps such as these are still manufactured under the Enots name. I think Colin Crabbe's Complete Automobilist in England still lists them in their catalog.

I forgot to add that I have had Enots caps on several of my cars, and have one currently on my 1953 Morgan Plus 4 Flat-Rad roadster. They are of excellent quality and function as they should, plus they look great!

I just fitted the largest type to a T/A Camaro and they are just fine and look the part.

I remember "Monza" type pop ups were outlawed by SCCA in the early 70s as being unsafe in a rollover. Had to retrofit our cars though I agree they looked very cool.

Oh yeah, they're the same as we used to have on our Government buses...
