Recently somebody told me that John Surtees only achieved his 1964 title because his Ferrari teammate Lorenzo Bandini on purpose pushed Surtees' title rival Graham Hill out of the track. I know that they did make contact but was it on purpose? I also know that Ferrari used team orders in the final lap (they let Bandini pass Surtees). But was Surtees title achieved because of dirty tactics of Ferrari / agressive driving by Bandini? Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

An alternative view, to which I don't give much credence because of the circumstances:

Thanx Vitesse, I will check out those threads. It seems there was at least controversy surrounding the incident.
