Ok... http://www.autosport...rt.php/id/60223

Any thoughts or info about this?
Sebastian Hohenthal is regarded as one of the future stars of Swedish motorsports.
What will happen now? Can he "win" this fight with the Mansell family?

Well, Greg may be an untalented driver, but at least he has proven that he is harder than Hohenthal. :rotfl:

I am actually quite surprised. I lived in Stockholm for a while, and my experience was that whilst all Swedish people were incredibly polite and non violent, it seemed like every one of them was a black belt at some form of martial arts. I would have expected Gregs punch to be deflected and met with a swift kick in the face.

he should just stay and grind their faces in it

The respected business daily: Hamburger Zeitung had a more detailed description of the encounter in their Sport & Celebrities section yesterday, including an interview with Sebastian Hohenthal where he talks about the event:

"Well I was in the motorhome when I looks out through the hole in the wall and sees this tank pull up and out gets one of Mansell's boys, so he comes in nice and friendly and says Greg Mansell wants to have a word with me, so he chains me to the back of the tank and takes me for a scrape round to Greg's place and Greg's there in the conversation pit with Leo and Nigel Mansell, the baby crusher, and two film producers and a man they called 'Bernie', who just sat there biting the heads of whippets and Greg Mansell says 'I hear you've been a naughty boy Piquet' and he splits me nostrils open and saws me leg off and pulls me liver out and I tell him my name's not 'Piquet' and then... he loses his temper and nails me head to the floor."

I'd say Hohenthal should stay and stick it to the Mansell boys.

Well...
Lets hope the team, and the Mansells, takes it as lightly as you all do and just get on with the racing again...

I think Sebastian should bring that heinous Kirsty Allsop to the next meeting.
That'll scare the life out of the Mansell camp

I think the comment from Richard Dutton says it all: "No comment." He has two of WDC Mansell's kids on his team, both of whom are well behind Hohenthal, and one of them beats up Sebastian...and he won't back the kid up. I would imagine that his desire to leave goes beyond just trying to shy away from the bully, because he's already clearly sticking to them on the track, and more that he's afraid that he's not getting good enough treatment from the team because they are having to tow the Mansell family line (who admittedly is probably bringing in a lot more money than Hothenhal is). If I were the team boss, I don't care who his dad is, he'd be fired immediately, without warning nor discussion. And he absolutely should be. But will he be reprimanded? No, probably not, for fear of retribution from the senior Mansell. Sad.

If I were Sebastian, and I were the fastest driver at a team, and they wouldn't stand 100% behind me when I got assaulted by a teammate, I would be gone very, very fast. He'll get picked up by another strong team without a doubt, leaving his own with Greg Mansell at the head. Great. And I'm sure Hoenthal knows it, too.

It's a pretty sad situation, really.

Surely the thread should be called "Hothenhal says Mansell punches him".

Where's the evidence?

"I love Fortec, but I'm not sure about carrying on here," he added. "I'm in a horrible position, and as long as I am quicker than the Mansells then it's hard."

Bring back Nigel, I guess

Surely it makes sense to make up such a story and alienate your entire team and tell the press you are considering leaving the team. That is usually considered a smart move to boost your career as a racing driver................

According to local newspaper Dalademokraten the team will "split".
Hohenthal and the Mansells will be spendning the races apart from each other (tents will be far apart). And they will not share information regarding setups and stuff.

Strange situation i think...

From what I've heard of Richard Dutton, I wouldn't rely on him to do the sensible thing.

And I've also heard tell that the Mansell boys are singularly obnoxious. Leo, I'm told, would rather be playing golf anyway. Neither of them have what it takes, just burning Dad's money.

"Hmm...so just two punches and it causes your teammate to think about leaving the team? Excellent, thanks for the information Greg"
"No Problem Fernando"
