Otherwise I was around the Paddock Hill bend area somewhere, not too far away incase the old man wanted me to polish the car again for the zillionth time or go and fetch something!
I used to stand by the fence looking down the tunnel and feel the vibrations and smell the exhausts.....at a young age so infectious and exciting! I was at Paddock when Andrea de Ademich (sp) crashed his Ferrari into the marshalls post

He ended up in Jon Davisons Lola for Sandown. I worked for Chris Featherstone in that. Visited Keith when I was working in England in 1978/79.

How many different F5000 cars did he race? Off the top of my head I can think of Lola T142, McLaren M10B, Chevron B24, Trojan T101, Trojan T102, Lola T400 and Lola T332. Which was his favourite and why?
Similarly, which race does he rate as his best and which circuit was his favourite?
Hope he's in good health and spirits - look forward to hearing back from you Thundersport.

The Lotus 47 and E-type were owned by Molash racing partnership from Molash near Faversham Kent. The dices with Pearce were lots of fun.
Andrew Kitson
The Mallory lake incident happend when dicing with Redman and Hailwood for the lead when they came to lap Terry Sanger who moved one way for Redman but collecting Keith launching him in the air and taking both front wheels off sangers car, Keith ended up in the lake narrowly advoiding a concrete marshals post. Keith was lucky enough to end upright in a shallow part so there was no "swimming" issues however Fred Saunders a Diver by trade stopped to see if any assistance was needed.
More to follow....................................

No that's Keith's M10B, sometimes in later races called an M10H due to Keith's various mods.
Apparently Keith visited my mother's recently and looked at one of my F5000s which is his old T102. Unfortunately wasn't there to see him, didn't know he was dropping in after so many years. My father was the Ian Ward Racing team manager and had helped Keith with entries and sponsorship proposals with the M10.

Your list of cars Keith drove is 100% correct his favourite was the Trojan T101, the fastest the Lola T400 the Chevron B24 holds great memories including a dice with Jody Scheketer at the 1972 race of champions which involved some fairly feisty racing as Keith didn't get on with Jody. This was also a car that Keith owned.
The Tasman series holds fond memories with Keith however Silverstone doesn't as he found results difficult to come by. The reason he participated in the P100 series was for "something to do" and he found them woefully under powered (unsurprisingly).
Keith is still running his plant business in Kent and would be keen to get behind the wheel of a Formula 5000 car again, anyone got a spare seat........................................................

Yes Keith ran his M10B in some Tasman races in Australia. The chassis was 400-06 which now resides here in N.Z. It has lain in a dismantled state in a lockup in Seattle since 1976. After moving through a couple more owners since I have shipped it down to N.Z. and have now passed it on to Poul Christie who will restore it with my assistance and run it in pre 72 F5000 alongside his T190 Lola.and our Church Farm M10A.

It was quite a well used looking car with I seem to recall wider wheels/tyres than the always immaculately presented Warren Pearce E type.
As for their battles I also seem to recall that KH was usually much quicker than WP and unless his car developed problems he normally finished in front.
What became of these two modsports cars? I think Warren Pearce had a very bad smash at Castle Coombe that ended his career but its so long ago now and I'm away from my period Autosports so I can't check the where, when and how.

Do you remember the 3rd member of the gang? John Quick in "WOO 11", a fastback (lightweight?) E type, with the "moon equiped" eyes logo adorning the sides. Great races, back in the day, modsports were often the highlight of the day for me back then

WOO was not a lightweight, none of the modsports Es were, they were standard steel monocoques with alloy or plastic bonnets, perspex windows and the doors I don't know about.
I also remember Rob Schroeder, Brian Wilson, Mike Loveday, Gordon Spicer and others from the late 1960s. Most mod sports E types used Mimilites but I also recall the J. A. Pearce wheels and some very wide welded steel rims.
This leads me to the Healeys, Stuart Hands, John Chatham, John Gott etc. The late 1960s modsports events produced great racing in a great variety of cars, nothing to match it today in my opinion.
I was told by somebody a while ago that John Quick was unwell, but living up a mountain for months at a time I sometimes miss the news. Anybody know how he is?

Saw and remember all of these guys with the exception of Brian Wilson, "God Only Knows" what he drove

Sad to hear about John Quick being in poor health.

The last answer in this topic is well...very old...
But I have interest for the Lotus 47 and Keith Holland ran one in 1967 / 1968 entered by the Molash Racing Partnership. I saw some info about this team above but I am looking for more info.Who was the boss of this team for exemple. And I am looking for the chassis number of this Lotus 47. Any idea? Many thanks

I sent Keith a message with your query he couldn't recall the chassis number the team boss of Molash Racing was Alistair Crawford.

I'd be interested to hear his recollection of the 1971 F5000 Mallory Park crash when he ended up in the lake!

That'll be this, then

It would be nice to know his views and recollections of racing with the GSM Delta, and Pieter de Niekerk all those years ago.
