From the article:-

Hamilton, ...., is currently a guest on board the multi-million-pound yacht of Mansour Ojjeh, an executive for McLaren sponsor Tag Heuer watches.

I think Mr Ojieh owns part of McLaren too.

So he's on Mansour's boat. What did you expect. That Hamilton was going to be expelled?

so the countless threads on the Hamilton-gate about him eyeing a move to Ferrari seem to fizzle in my eyes ... when the party at hand is seen chillin with a company figure having a good old time, mere days after the big "blow-up".

Don't you think that if there was any tension within the team that the parties involved you take a break from one another and "do their own thing.

It's not like it's a sponsor obligation or anything

I see it as sides being taken within the orginization
think what you will... but thats was mine

Shame how they drop the long standing faithful girlfriend once they get famous. Jenson Button did exactly the same, but hey, I'm a guy, so what do I care? Staying faithful (as far as we know) to one not very appealing woman is one of the few things that I kind of admire Nigel Mansell for.

how do you know it wasn't his girl that was being a bitch, and he left him for a good reason?

Clearly he is still finding himself; but I don't like him showing up his current girlfriend like that. Having said that he isn't doing anything James Hunt, Derek Daly, Didier Pironi, Rene Arnoux or Eddie Irvine didn't do.

The Daily Mail is indeed a tabloid, but then so are The Times, Daily Telegraph and all the other UK papers, but there are some distinctions, the Mail isn't a tabloid tabloid. Not like those two bottom feeders the Sun & Mirror, at any rate.

Yeah, but it was The Sun which has reported today that Lewis and Jodi are not together anymore. So technically he is having fun pretty legally.

Oh yes it is! It has only the Express as competition for Britain's nastiest newspaper. The red tops are crass and facile but the Mail and Express are plain nasty.

Most of the papers are now tabloid in format - but the Mail and the Express, like the Sun, Star and Mirror, are tabloid in spirit.

With the notable exception of the Star the 'true' tabloids downplayed or completely ignored Hamilton's role in the qualifying controversy last weekend. Supporting the home driver is fine but deliberately omitting or obscuring vital details from reporting is pathetic.

What I find interesting is that, here in the States, we get no images of Lewis beyond the driver's suit, helmet and sponsor's leash. And here the lad is, frolicking in the water. In a tabloid rag! Like a regular guy (who has friends in high places). Intellectually, I know these guys have other lives, but here it is - in pictures. These kinds of articles may be common in Europe, but here it is a dead zone, where only the driest information is available. (a win, crash or fight ...)
Is this another ding in Superman's superhuman halo? All in one week?
[I had typed 'chink', but that would be [unintentionally] crude, even for me. Besides, that would make it one LESS...]

Maybe whilst he is unwinding, Lewis might find time to reflect, and realise that a reconciliation with Alonso would be desirable.

If your women wouldn't secret a fascination for us there would not be a "problem" (not that it's an issue with me; it's always less work/BS with whomever is fascinated with you). That's the double edge cut of all of the stereotypes... :

The photo LH and the guy is "funny". If you look closely they are not holding hands.

the uk tabloids have been giving this one a big kick...they love a good celebrity scandal. their angle is 'what about jodie'...but the more interesting story here for mine is 'what about fred' - what a slap in the face for him: all this talk about mclaren preaching driver parity, fred being miffed about not being #1, and then lewis puts one over him by banging the boss's daughter!

the old dog!

He's blatantly blocking Alonso's access to team resources... When is the FIA hearing about that?
