OK, some sources list his entry with Harris as one of the privateers, and some sources say that they were entered in the main championship only. Which is true? If he was a true privateer then he certainly earned some race wins in that championship in the second half of the season, but some places give the privateer points details which suggest he was not included there. Any ideas or memories of this?

I have a question about British Superbike racing in 1999. That was Shane Byrne’s first (partial) year in BSB, and he raced a Kawasaki for Harris Performance Products until he got called on to take over the works Kawasaki.

Got all the races on tape, pretty sure he was officially a privateer. I'll check up on it though.

Anyone know an ex-racer by the name of Geoff Hadwin? I've had a 250 for a couple of years, just decided to start stripping it for a rebuild with a different motor and found his name under a bit of tape on the fairing. There are scrutineering stickers from 97/98/99 with the Darley/Pegasus/Retford clubs so he may have raced it in the FRC.
Thanks.

At Goodwood today there was a tasty bike left lying against a flagpole:

It had been ridden by the bloke on the right - I'm sure I should know who it is but can't remember - and the bloke behind to the left was riding the Ducati Supermono:

and this young lad was there too:

as were Stavros Parrish, Chris Walker, Dougie Lampkin & Stuart Graham.
