That was one of the first things to cross my mind.Just saw the news, very sad. Do we know whether the project is still ongoing?
I really hope so, but they were shoestring so I doubt it.
Very sorry to read that, Brian.

Oh, No, what a terrible event.

I stumbled into footage of that F2 accident a little earlier - not realising what I was going to be watching (I'm not sure the outcome was known at the time it was posted).
A shocking impact, that put me in mind of Zanardi's accident at Lauritzring...
A tragic end to a young life - and what appeared to be quite a promising career in the making.

I, too made the mistake of watching it.
It never gets easier, and days like this I almost hate racing.
Edit: … weeks like this...

I'm glad not to have seen it, and I never want to either.

Please don't forget Chris Swallow who died a week ago during the IOM classic meeting. There's nice picture to be found online of him and his dad Bill chatting with Maria Costello a day or so beforehand. A little research shows him to have been a keen peaks runner in NZ amongst other things. As they say, a life well lived

It doesn't appear to have been mentioned here and happened a couple of months ago, Irish rally driver Manus Kelly was killed in an accident on the Donegal Rally on 23 June 2019, which he had previously won in 2016, 2017 and 2018. He was driving a Hyundai i20 R5 and crashed through a stone wall.

From a "National Speed Sport News" clipping (issue unknown), one George A. Buell suffered a fatal accident at Readville, one-mile dirt oval located near Hyde Park in Boston, Massachusetts, presumably in 1926. No dates, no details.
Any information?

1926 looks correct. Appears to be George Arthur Buell. born Natick, Mass Oct 9th 1893. Profession chauffeur according to his WW1 draft record, mechanic in Framingham, Mass according to a 1926 directory. Can't find an exact date of death, but he is listed in the Massachusetts Death Records Index.
Will look again later today ... things to do!
