Bogans drinking Diet Coke seems....well just plain wrong :drunk:

Thanks Wrighty for mentioning Motors TV coverage, it'll be one busy race day on Sunday.

Hmmm, when is the Motors TV coverage?

Bathurst is on my must see/must drive list. Tied with the Indy500. Fortunately they're at opposite ends of the year. Driving a lap of Bathurst in a video game alone was jaw dropping.

Argh! This weekend? I'm in the office all day!

As I discovered last weekend, I don't get good enough reception to use my PCTV card in my laptop. Any 'net viewing options?

It is WAY steeper than on TV too, just walking it is tough work. Going up in a 4 pot laser and it was 3rd gear (out of 5).

It is also insanely narrow. I was in a Subaru Forrester.

Sadly I'll be missing this race (first time since 1995!) but will watch the tape the second I get in that night.

Been around Bathurst sitting in my dad's sidecar (road, not race) many years ago at the speed limit. The dipper was simply amazing and terrifying at the same time.

Tossing up between widescreen, surround sound at home or a bbq at a mates place with a small little box and mono sound. Usually the mates place would win out everytime, but this is Bathurst.

I still have painful memories of 05 when Lowndsie binned it and got tyred and also less painful memories of Ambrose and Murph coming to blows in and out of the car..

There's only one place to watch Bathurst and thats at the CDT.

Doors open at 10am, first jug of beer out of the way by 10:05am. :p And the GP will be live as well ofcourse...

i guess everybody else is at the pub!

quali has been pretty good: russ loses it on the final corner, johnson looks like fluking a pole until skaife absolutely buggers the field with a 2.07.2, nearly a full second ahead... and tander gets within a tenth right after. winterbottom carries the blue flag out for the final shot in a car with a paintjob that would look more at home in the production cars sprint (which was great, by the way - spirit of the '70s in contemporary cars ranging from monaros to lancers to elises) but manages to pinch it from under skaife's nose by a tenth!

also, the top ten is almost perfectly sequential in terms of red-blue-red-blue but for the two #1 factory holdens sitting together behind the ford.

I would definently recommend it  It really brings into focus how much balls these guys have to drive these cars around the top of the mountain.

Wish I could be at the CDT tommorow!

The decision to have Richo start the #6 Ford is interesting. No doubt Richo is a very solid steerer, but Frosty seems to be able to extract something special from the FPR Fords. I'd have thought it would be better to have Frosty in for the majority of the stints. Perhaps there will be a double stint at some point as the Castrol Ford presumably leads the field for a lights to flag victory! (not to jinx them or anything :) )

let's hope it doesn't impede a full-blooded start...

At this stage i'd predict Lowndes/Whincup to do the double. Lots of pace in that car and the fuel economy makes it a definite 4 stopper. Would like to see Frosty and Richards take it home though - nice to have someone different on the top step of the podium.

It'll be one of those combos for sure, but I think the fuel economy in the 888 car will see them home; especially with the safety car that came out for Canto.
