I'm looking for the colour that the Downton Twini Mini 931 RFC that competed in the '63 Targa Florio was finished in.
I have a few B&W photos but nothing in colour!
any help and photos etc much appreciated, thanks.

If you use the 'Search BB' button at top right of your screen and do a search for mini + targa you get about thirty threads, refine it to mini+targa+florio and you get eleven.

What look the most useful are This and This.

I think D-Type was trying to say there was no need to start yet another new thread when several on the same general topic already exist

I contacted Downton direct for this and they have thankfully sent a reply.

The car was Almond Green (I was convinced it was red!), thanks to all those that helped, will post a picture of the car when finished.

Ive seen a photo that was taken I think by Geoff Goddard and Im sure it was almond green. A request to the GP Library might be worth a try ????

I used a colour pic of this in my Sports Car Racing in Camera 1960-69 book from Haynes, but cannot remember the source (probably LAT).

I would try their website, latphoto should bring it up and enter + 1963 + Targa + Florio in the search box.

I found the pic by going to advanced search and searching for Mini Cooper (it's the last picture)
