Peter:

I do not know what specific car you are making reference to but, EBS was a car that came from Porsche designer Eberhard Braun. Generally they were Porsche powered. Here is a link to an ad for a sold car that will provide you with some info.

I must admire the creativity of some people in re-writing history. There is certainly one Porsche-engined car to be associated with Eberhard Braun of Markgröningen but that is a KMW SP30 which he started racing in 1973.

From all the shots on the race-cars.com webpage I would not be able to ascertain that this is a KMW. EBS is usually an abbreviation for "Eigenbau S pezial" or Sport - as some people used to put it: "The most prolific German race car producer." :rotfl:

The rear body vaguely resembles a KMW SP20 but their bodies have been used on quite a variety of cars. The front bonnet has nothing whatsoever to do with a KMW.

All KMW are totally unrelated to the Porsche works and that story about its origin is in my view pure fiction. A well researched history would help making the car more attractive to potential buyers.

EBS = Egon Brütsch, Stuttgart

2 cars, one with a Maserati engine and one with a Bugatti.

Yes, that was in the 40s.

Ah, well, never mind...
