Does anyone know how I can get ahold of Pancho? I have a friend, Gary Wheeler, who was a designer for Dan Gurney and he designed the Indy 1977 car that Pancho drove. Gary then went on to design Super Vee cars. He is now living in Seattle but would like to retouch base with his old friend Pancho. I thought if anywhere knew where to find him it would be this great forum. :)

I thought I had it but I didn't....excuse my brain fade...

I love your Dad's pics, btw! I attended a lot of those races, so the pictures really bring back memories.

Pancho works in the IndyCar Series as a driver coach and spotter -- Sam Hornish was his star pupil, while he was Milka Duno's coach/spotter this year. His sons Dana Carter and Cole Carter race in USAC. I'm sure if you contact the IndyCar or USAC PR departments they can hook you up with him.

Rob,

Any chance of enticing Gary Wheeler to join TNF?

(FWIW, I find those mid-seventies Indy cars somehow brutally attractive - really mean machines!)

He and his son Dane both have listed phone numbers at the same address in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Bonde,
I will do my best to get Gary on here. He is a great guy with a wealth of engineering knowledge. He turned his attention to planes but still loves the cars!! I'll see what I can do.

MPea3, How do I go about finding that number? I searched the yellowpages.com but didn't come up with anything. If you could email me at rjneuzel@insightbb.com I sure would appriciate it.

Thanks so much!

MPea3, I asked too quick! I just found it on 411.com.

Thanks,
Rob
