Incredible! There are so many cars in those photos that I've never seen in the US before, and some that I've never seen before, period.

Really nice - thanks for sharing

There are so many cool cars I wouldn't know where to start.

Every time I see a Flavia Zagato I have to pinch myself - absolutely mad! :drunk:

Is that a 212 Vignale in metallic grey I see?

If you are speaking of the coupe, it is a Ferrari 250 PF; not a 212.

There is a red Flavia Zagato for sale on e-bay right now!

That was as much fun as I've had on a Monday morning. Thanks for the opportunity.

Still liking the silver/red 8V Fiat best of all.

And here it is: link

An acquired taste methinks!

That’ll teach me to play at being Ferrari cognoscenti – that car looks nothing like a 212 really

BTW - I notice no fewer than 2 Alfa Montreals - that must be about half the world's road-going examples right there

(Props to you if you have enough spanners to keep a Montreal in good fettle - just joshing).

That car is owned by Sydorik, unless he sold it recently...

It's held once a year, at Woodley Park, usually on the 1st or 2nd weekend in November...

Stu, Sydorick WISHES he owned that car. I sold the car, as a project, to Dan Kolodziejski in 1993 and then restored for him. Dan owns it today and has no interest in selling it.

I didn't realize it still is Dan's car. I was under the impression that Dan sold it for big bucks to Sydorik about 3-4 years ago...

I have a Flavia Zagato. Or, I should say, I have a number of boxes that contain the various component parts of a couple of Flavia Zagatos.

:D

I can't say I've ever seen a running Alfa Montreal, but I've visited a few garages over the years that contained the components of one!

If this is a French / Italian show, where are the SMs? Light 15s? How could you have a French car show without some SMs and Traction Avants?

It's funny that I should think of the SM after mentioning the Montreal... Freudian slip perhaps?;)

I haven't been to the show since 2004, so I can't report on what was and what was not there this year. I the past there HAVE been Citroen traction avants, 19s, 21s and Maserati/Citroen SMs...

I went to the show the last two years. This year was easily 30% bigger than last. There was a good selection of Citroens considering they were never big sellers in the US. A number of 2CVs and variants including a Mehari. A couple of SMs and yes, some Traction Avants, though I'm not familiar enough with Citroens to say which variants. Other rarities included an OSI Ford, a Cizzetta-Moroder 16T (the only one?), a Glas, Dual Ghia and a Chrysler Ghia, a Moretti 850, an Alfa van, Peugeot 205 T16, a couple Renault 5 Turbos, and a actual running Renault Le car!

Cheers,
Kurt O.

The 'sub prime' chaos doesn't seem to have hit the classic car guys in the US yet does it? :rotfl:

I never did see a picture of the Alfa 2600 that won the event but I did see a Citroen Light 15 in the background of one photo.

I raced an ex works Lancia Fulvia a couple of times at Westwood and I think that car ended up in California-I wonder if that is the same car?
