Modified racing Ford Anglias

Anyway, some of Dad's races he is very proud of certain victories at certain times and one of, if not the biggest, was beating Roger Williamson in his Anglia. Dad commentated saying he was one of the few to beat Roger and his Anglia, especially legally!!
My question/query, is where is Roger's Anglia now? I know some people will say Tom Wheatcroft must have it but that was before Tom got involved and I am 99.9% sure he hasn't got it.
If anyone has any idea what they think happened to it or where it might be it would be a great story to hear. I've told Gordon Streeter his car must be the same one as only long-haired people race Anglias and as he has just stopped touring with the Beatles it must be the same car!!

A great racer who seems to have disappeared from the racing scene.

Colour-wise that looks like Roger's car but I don't know.
As I've got Dad's Firenza that raced against Roger's Anglia and others; I am looking for some cars of interest and I thought as the Wheatcrofts didn't have the Anglia it must be about like the "Run Baby Run" and Norman Abbott Pink self-destruct Escort.

Rupert Long moved to Ventnor on the IoW in the '80s so I heard back then, no money left for racing.

Anyone remember this one ?
We used to hang around and push'npolish for a very well-off young chap called Tom Padwick who either had this car built by. or bought it from, Chris Craft.
This would have been about 1964.
It was a very quick car with all the demon tweaks of the day.
It had a streamlined front and was pale green in colour.
I have amateur film of it at Silverstone.
Tom was an average driver and used it mainly in club races where I remember him once beating his nemesis, George ? Betts in a dark green Jaguar.
I drove it once at Brands in a practice, probably the first time I ever drove a "proper" race saloon and I recall it was miles faster than my 1172 formula Lotus 7 S1.
Tom also owned a white racing Jaguar saloon, and I am pretty sure that the registration was BUY 12, which he got from John Coombes and which was supposed to have been driven by Graham Hill.
I remember going, in this car, with Tom from Radlett where we all lived, to Holbay, but I can't remember if that was about the engine in the Anglia or his Lotus FF.
I well remember "testing" the Jag car on the M1 with Tom, and in fact I made a lightweight back seat assembly for it as he enjoyed giving all his mates rides in the thing.
Sorry, I don't know what happened to any of these cars later, as Tom's family emigrated to South Africa.
Oh and the 100e van in the background was mine, NAP 201, which had the reversed-port, supercharged 100e which came out of my Lotus and which went almost as well as a standard engine.

The Tasman Anglia was raced by John Hewitt, founder of the successful car dealerships 'Norfolk Motor Group' in and around Norwich.Originally posted by Steve O'Brien
I remember the Tasman Anglia in the late 60's I sure it had a 2.5 FPF climax fitted I remember being with my father at Silverstone in 1968 when he was racing the ex Terry Sanger cortina V8 and seeing the Anglia there.
IIRC the Climax motors were supplied and looked after by Bob King and Alan Cornock of Racing Preparations, who founded Royale racing cars ( RP = Racing Preparations).

Albert Betts, I think my FATHER should take over the key board now I`ve heard that name in a few stories, as I have posted twice on his behalf.
As for Mr Marshall, I was placed in the passenger seat at the TENDER age of 10 for the 1st testing laps at Castle Coombe of the FORD MEXICO with Mr Marshall at the wheel
