Especially if he had been given illegal traction control, a flexing floor, and stopped in the last corner to make the other cars slow down.

I have seen a lot of version of that exercise but this one is by FAR the best attempt

A top fuel dragster reaches over 300mph in the 1/4 mile in about 3-4 seconds. The F1 car would stand no chance.

true, but the better comparison for performance would probably be a Pro Stock , as they're on pump fuel and a single 4-barrel carb, rather than blown and nitro'd like a full on dragster.....bear in mind honda got to about 246mph (give or take) at Bonneville, but that was over a 'flying kilometre', rather than a standing start

Does anyone remember in 1993 they put a Lotus F1 car against a jet fighter or some other plane, I think it was at one of the smaller airports in Adelaide.

Any streetcar: Get in, put seatbelt on, turn key, drive -> apprx. 20seconds
Any race car: Wiggle your way in, fumble with the 5p seatbelts, push start button, drive -> apprx. 40 seconds
F1 car: pre-heat engine through cooling system, pre-heat oil & hydrolics, Pre-heat tires, wiggle your way in, have an engineer strap your seatbelts, Have an engineer fire up the engine, drop the car on the tarmac, drive -> apprx 10 minutes
