There is an excellent soft cover book called " Aficion sin Limite - Escuderia Montjuich" by Enrique Coma-Cros and Pablo Gimeno (DL: B41633-1999) which will give you a lot of information on Juncadella as he was a leading light in the team that was founded by Paco Godia the former Maserati 250F driver. I have a copy and though it is in Spanish, a language I do not know, you can piece some of it together if you have a smattering of Italian.

Thanks for the info I will seek this book out. Meanwhile I have spent hours trawling the net but I'm currently 750 miles from my archive so I can't check my own material in the forseeable future. In any case Juncadella as an individual does not seem to have attracted much attention and I can't recall any articles about him in period in the British press.
Meanwhile I look forward to the Jack Sears book, when is it being published?

Paul, there is a webpage forum where many spanish-speaking motor-racing history fans could help you. Surely, the most of them speak english as well.Originally posted by Paul Parker

Thank you for your concern about the Sears book. Rod Grainger at Veloce advises me it will be out in mid-February.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of an authorative English language website or source for Jose Juncadella and his relationship with Escuderia Montjuich.
Many thanks.

Daniel Juncadella (16-year-old son of Javier, who I believe is Jose's brother) is racing in Formula BMW Europe this season as a Red Bull Junior driver with EuroInternational. So that team is probably a good starting point if you want to track down the family. Website here:

Look after this link about Librairie du Palmier.
You'll find a book about Escuderia Montjuich in spanish language.

Effectively, Javier is José María's younger brother.
