'digital' edition of The Engineer
Pages 20-24 have an article about a wind tunnel they're building with NASCAR in mind. As it's a freebie magazine for a general audience it's not as detailed as it could be, but it's still interesting enough for a quick read.

That is a pretty big deal... and unfortunately, it could turn out to be a white elephant if NASCAR continues toward a spec body (the COT is already fairly close). Also, the man who owns the facility just went away to prison for a two-year stretch.
The Windshear facility is adjacent to the Concord airport, straight across the far end of the runway from Ganassi's shop. Knew a guy had his race shop right about there. Out back there was a little 1/4-mile dirt test track -- I would guess the wind tunnel is built right on top of it. Time marches on.

Gene Haas? Remarkable what manufacturing the Bic lighter of CNC machines can do for your wallet.
