While reading articles about the young actor's unfortunate death last week I noticed quotes attributed to his father, Kim Ledger.
Perhaps West Australian members could confirm that this is the same Kim (or Kym?) Ledger who owned Rotomotion , sponsored Dick Ward and also raced a speedcar, IIRC. I met him once at his Perth shop in the '80's when I was racing an Rx-7.

Yes, there's only one Kim Ledger racing in WA, and that's Heath Ledger's Dad. Kevin Ledger also races, in an Impreza.

Yes Terry has it all correct.

Kim has been around for a long time in the sport.

1985/86 wa speedcar champion I think can anyone confirm?????????? I would of been 4 so that me out of the memory thinking part.

a pic of kim and heath at the track in those days, a la ray's contribution to the stan / alan jones thread would be priceless ... anyone?

..i agree,would love to see some early pictures of heath....
was very sad news!
